Just Sharing One More Line
Should I write to her on lined paper,
Or should I write to her on plain paper?
If I write on lines,
The words won't stray up or down,
And she will be able to read everything clearly.
But if I write on a plain sheet,
The feelings can be expressed more deeply.
Should I write this with a pen?
But there will be so many scribbles and overwriting,
And the smell of ink might overpower the strength of my words.
Or should I write with a pencil?
But will I look like a child?
I will write carefully,
Ensuring the lead doesn't break even once,
And the paper remains clean.
The Letter looks too short.
Should I add another page?
Even if I add another page,
I don't know if she'll ever read it.
So perhaps I'll just write one more line.
But in the letter I wrote for her,
I don't have the courage
To write my name at the end.

You captured the chaotic frenzy of overthinking/spiralling beautifully. The last line is very relatable, all that panic, anxiety, fear to make sure it’s perfect make sure she thinks it’s perfect but there is no perfect and overthinking wins again. I love this
