According to Maila "Vampira" Nurmi's diaries, Terry was a ... a'hem, loose woman. A real, C U Next Tuesday. Then again Maila had the hots for Jimmy.

Bizarre fact: Maila had a son with Orson Welles (who she also claims gave her “the clap”). She gave him up for adoption and he didn’t know who his parents were until late into adulthood. Can you imagine the mind f*ck of finding out that your biological parents are Citizen Kane and Vampira?

Orson was married at the time. That kid would've been raised by a single mother who never became Vampira.

It seems like she gave the kid a chance at a life and opportunities by putting them up for adoption.

I am reminded by your comment of two best friends, A* and M*, that had the hots for me when I worked in a bar. Both pulled me aside on different occasions to tell me the other had herpes. They were both 18-20, I'd say.

I was 10 years older than them, so I wasn't really interested in either (A* had beautiful silvery-grey eyes though). After hearing/learning that, and considering how they treated "friends", even if both were lying, both were absolutely a no-go zone for a discerning gentleman.

I ran into A* a few years later. She was working as a waitress in a breakfast diner and told me she was a mom now. Her eyes had faded to a flat grey, though she was still in her 20s. I recall thinking "she looks like her mom now", who I vaguely recall having met, and who must have been about 10 years older than me.

Time and memories are weird. I hope their lives turned out fine, one's 20s can be a hard decade.

Really? It’s been said a whole mess of times that they’re just friends (especially by her) and the photo of her camping it up was doctored and she claimed that the true message was “Having a wonderful time, wish you were here” instead of “Darling, come join me!” after he died.

Just going by the diaries her niece published a few years back. Maila was clearly head-over-heels for James. She did shift back and forth between a weirdly maternal energy to being horny for him. She did grope Elvis before he was a name and freaked him out.
