❓Customer Question Catering lasagna- pricing doesn’t make sense?

Post image

I’m ordering catering and noticed that the large lasagna is only 10 dollars more than the small and it says it serves 12 people vs 6? How is this possible?

❓Customer Question Can You Get Both Salad and Soup with NEPB?

Upvotes

I noticed online it specifically specifies "Soup or salad & breadsticks is included".

Does that mean there's an extra charge to have both? I was curious since some days I wouldn't want to do pasta and would just want soup and salad.

🍝 Never Ending Pasta Bowl I created a never ending pasta tracker for the subreddit

https://pastatracker.netlify.app/

HUGE thank you to the mods for letting me know my posts were getting auto removed by reddit for including a link. They kindly agreed to approve this post manually. I was really discouraged because I spent time and money making this for free hoping that y'all would want to use it to track progress and compete. And nobody was commenting. Please do comment if you have feature requests or streak/trophy ideas and I will happily add. Post screenshots of your stats! Onward!

So this is my app I made for the endless pasta promo. I saw people here getting excited for the start and talking about who could eat the most bowls, who could eat the most *different* bowls, could anyone eat all 120 combinations? Etc.

And I thought, I can make an app for that! Instead of just typing what people have accomplished, everyone can have the same stats tracked and same interface and data views. If you've tried a different combination every time, screenshot and post your grid view. If you always order water, earn the hydro homie trophy that tracks how many glasses you drink. If you order spicy sauce or protein, post your "heat seeker" trophy/tracker. Etc.

It has order entry, complete with a yes or no breadsticks switch. Soup or salad with dressing options. Pasta sauce and protein. Drink. And extras. So if you order mozzarella sticks you can type that in Under "extras". Any time after that you go to extras, there will now be a one tap button for mozzarella sticks. Same thing for drinks. Main choices are just water, soda, cocktail. But create a button for "diet Coke" if you'd like.

My app also has order randomization if you can't decide.

You can give your combination order a rating out of 5 stars. Upload 1 or 2 photos if you want (for your eyes only, nothing is shared unless you screenshot and post).

You can enter tips if you wanna brag about how much you tip (and please do, someone here proposed $5 base plus $1 per plate, please correct me if that's off).

Ratings and tips can be entered on logged meals after the fact, so didn't feel bad about entering nothing, you can tip and the end and then add it to your order.

**You can also backdate entries so you won't miss tracking data on meals you've already had**

Aside from the grid view showing all possible combinations, there's also bar graph view.

Please give me ideas for streaks and trophies! That's the main thing I think I need to add more of. Any input for those or other features will be considered. And please if the call for tips is overboard I can remove it. Just let me know if it's annoying. I'm broke as hell , getting laid off, and likely not getting to OG myself this year.

When I update the app you can just refresh the page for the new version, all your data is stored on your phone. It will stay in the new version. This is a web app so you can also install it to your phone as an app and will then be able to click on it as an app instead of opening your browser if you prefer. There are buttons for export and import of data, so if you're going to clear your cookies or otherwise risk losing the data, simply export the json data file to your phone whenever you make an update, and if anything goes wrong you can just load that file back in.

Happy eating! And happy tracking! 🍝

Day 6 (meal #7)!

Every day for lunch last week, doubled up on Friday and took the fam for dinner. Back at it for lunch today.

Still outstanding service and treatment from servers and management! My buddy and I collectively leave $10 for the table, and everyone seems thrilled to have us back. We essentially broke even on week 1, so now we’re just in it for the experience.

I’m seeing myself settling on eating a bowl or two of salad and then packing the entree for home. Not much need for refills as the fridge at home is stocked with leftovers already. The family is happy to put in orders before I leave in the morning.

Week 2 Weigh-In: 233.2

❓Customer Question Spicy Alfredo

I went in on Saturday & got the cheese ravioli (I don’t like OG’s meats), and substituted in the spicy alfredo, which is was super excited about.

It wasn’t spicy at all! it wasn’t bad, but I left thinking I’d have preferred my usual sub of the 5-cheese marinara, which is also no upcharge.

is it normal for the “spicy” Alfredo to taste fairly mild, basically a notch above the regular?

They had no soup ready yet so they gave me salad instead.

Gave me 2 bowls of soup to go and I put my 1st bowl of pasta in the box and they let me have 2 more other types as well to go.

I love this pasta pass!

At the NEPB Special page on OG's website appears this Pasta Bowl picker. It names random NEPB combos after pressing SPIN.

Up to 120 combos possible, defined as 1 Pasta + 1 Sauce + 1 optional Topping.

Found at about 1/3 down at https://m.olivegarden.com/specials/never-ending-pasta-bowl

🍝 Never Ending Pasta Bowl NEPB Missing Gluten Free Rotini

The menu for the NEPB doesn’t include the Rotini, but my location still allows it as a selection.

Is this a secret menu item? Or just a misprint?

❓Customer Question What's the better value?

I love the chicken parm, but fettuccine alfredo is an all-time favorite. What is better value?

A) Order the chicken parm entree and sub fettuccine alfredo for the spaghetti
B) Order fettuccine alfredo and (if its possible)....order a side of chicken parm.

🍝 Never Ending Pasta Bowl NEPB Combination Tracker

With the never-ending pasta bowl back, I thought it would be interesting to see which combinations are most popular. After some work, I have a website just for that!

It's available at: Dashboard | Never-Ending Pasta Bowl Tracker

In the future, I hope to add some of the features that Home | BRADEN'S INFINITE TOUR OF ITALY has, but available for anyone to create an account and contribute.

If you run into any issues, feel free to share them here. I will fix them when I get the chance 😄

The website as it is currently is absolutely a bit, ahem, Claude-looking, but I will improve that as I get time.

❓Customer Question Sunday Rush

Alright, I'm gonna try this again and rephrase my question since I didn't come across too well the first time. My question is mainly for workers. Are there typically any slow times on Sundays, or is it usually just a packed day all around?

🧑‍🍳 Employee Post Standards

How many managers are supposed to be on shift at any given time?

If an individual department, let’s say dishpit, falls so far behind that a manager has to go do that job, how are we supposed to deal with the missing manager role?

At my location tonight the dish team was so bad we had to give dine in guests plastic to-go utensils. Bread was put on side plates or in soup bowls because we ran out of baskets.

When we ran out of salad bowls we just had to wait, same with salad tongs. When we ran out of soup bowls we just had to wait again. Several times I almost put soup in to-go containers for dine in.

When the kitchen manager has to come out of the window that is a huge opportunity for things to go sideways. People start taking food that isn’t for their table and entrees now have to be remade and fast tracked if not comped.

If the front of house manager comes back to the kitchen then how are we supposed to deal with whatever the front of house manager is supposed to do?

The performance tonight at my location was so bad I genuinely don’t know what we were supposed to do other than having the morning manager stay the entire day.

I’d love to be able to count on my coworkers and myself to make no mistakes but that isn’t realistic. When our managers are taken away from their job as management, how is the team supposed to deal with the missing oversight for lack of a better term.

I can say more but I’m still upset with how tonight went and I think I’m rambling. I’ll end it here for now.

I think I just want be seen/heard. Ultimately even if I get the perfect answer from someone on here, I’m not taking it to my GM as a possible solution. Things will keep going the way they are until the store makes less money or becomes such a hazard or problem that corporate catches wind and starts making changes.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

🧑‍🍳 Employee Post Hair

Hi guys! I’m sure this question has likely been asked before. I work at OG (well, kinda, worked for 1+ yr but took off a few months for school and transferred), and I know that we have a policy on natural hair colors. I have blonde hair with a brunette peakaboo under, while I’m 80% this is fine because they’re both natural colors, would there be a chance I get into any trouble?

EDIT: spelling
