This is a very personal mandela effect because it's only in my brain. No one else remembers it that way. This is my first ever reddit post so tell me if I did anything wrong. I thought I'd try my luck with this subreddit lol.

This mandela effect will vaguely mention the israel-palestine conflict (that I will keep referring to as such to stay neutral) , but we are not here to argue about that so please let's focus in the mandela effect part.

So, this happened in high school history class. I had a great teacher, and we were studying the Rwandan genocide. While learning about it, I learned many names involved in the conflict. Come present day I have kinda forgotten said names in this story by now, or they're just somewhere in my brain.

Years later, present day still, come the worsening of the israelo-palestinian conflict. We start to hear about the leaders on both sides. Names being mentionned more often. And they kept mentionning "Prime minister Netanyahu" always only with his surname. In my head, the first time I heard it, I found it weird because... I had heard that name before.... while studying Rwanda....why is he still here? Why is he involved in this conflict if he was situated in Rwanda? And I tried to remember his name, because I only had heard his surname and I remembered he's called Benjamin. And I distinctly remember the teacher mentionning him during our studying of Rwanda. I can still hear him pronounce it because he pronounced the Benjamin part a bit weirdly. I sadly can't remember his implication in the conflict (it was a while ago and I don't remember a lot sadly) . And at that time I had never heard that Benjamin Netanyahu was called Benjamin/Benyamin! At that time I had only heard him being referred to as "Prime minister Netanyahu" . I remember thinking "That can't be the same guy, he must simply have a similar surname, he probably had a different name, he's probably not called Benjamin, that's just a coincidence" . That's why I was surprised to hear his name when they finally heard it from someone else's mouth. Benyamin. (That spelling also works with the teacher's werid pronounciation)

How could I know his name before ever hearing about it?

So my conclusions are all crazy. Either he's some kind of (evil) time traveler causing genocides/conflicts in various parts and times of the world. Or history changed! Or, I'm crazy.

I searched wikipedia high and low for links between B. Netanyahu and the Rwandan Genocide but no luck. I also got rid of most my lessons from that time.

Anyways. That's my personal mandela effect that has me feeling like I need an aluminium hat.

I was doom scrolling and came across a short of the song 'wicked game' by Chris Isaac. I remember seeing a video when I was a kid of a guy looking like Roy Orbison singing this song in on a commercial. The scene was him (Chris Isaac) looking like Roy Orbison singing in the right side of the screen and a brunette woman in a red dress and red lipstick on in the background appear from behind a veil with dark lighting dancing. The floor and back drop were a dark blue-ish color and Chris had low lighting on him almost like he was in a shadow while singing. I sincerely remember his 1980's haircut, dark sunglasses, the beach tropical scenery at the end of the video where another guy is holding this same woman laying down and basically queing this woman was breaking his heart going around playing him. Anyway does Anyone remember this? So far from what I found, the current video has the beach scene basically as the whole video, only we get this in the early 1990s, and new guy Chris Isaac guy is not the one I remember at all. I’m re-watching Boardwalk Empire after 10 or 12 years. When Dr. Narcisse makes his appearance in season four, he starts going on and on about the superior black race of Nubians. This is a major theme of his entire character. But last night when I was watching the same episode, he calls them Libyans. Although Libya is of course a country in Africa, it is not somehow representative of the entire race of Negroes. I remember this clearly because I had to look up the word Nubian. Libyan makes no sense. Anyone else remember this?

I definitely know that the Greek word "chilios" was officially the Greek translation for "thousand" in Revelation 20 and 22, as I looked it up on Google AI Overview somewhere last year, I forget the month. I was surprised that this Greek word actually doesn't exist at all when I looked up this word last month, that AI Overview says that I'm thinking of "chilioi" or "chilias" because "os" in Greek doesn't exist and has never been Greek. I definitely know it was "chilios", also "chilioi", but I don't recall "chilias", suggesting a replacement of the word "chilios".

It most likely could've been this show, as I thought the prominent metallic emblem task force show had a blue transition in the intro, just like Steven Seagal: Lawman.

Interestingly, SSL (Steven Seagal: Lawman) discontinued in February 2014, right before my Nana passed away at St. Joseph's Health Centre on Queensway (forget what the street was called) in April 27th, 2014. The metallic emblem show could've most likely survived somewhere after Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force, which discontinued in 2011, which I vividly remembered as a child that there was another A&E show of a nighttime New York City skyline with blue glowing text, and orange text below the blue (that is Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force) , as I vividly remembered two A&E task force shows, one being MFTF and the other show (metallic or silver star badge show), most likely aired new seasons around 2012, 2013, and maybe 2014. Steven Seagal: Lawman Interestingly aired on Wednesday nights, as I thought the metallic emblem show aired on that same day at night (Wednesday nights).

The details I used to vividly remember was a stairwell chase or walking up or down the stairs, flashlights while shouting "GO! (x3)" or something else the squad shouted, I forget what was at all said in that show because I don't have a vivid recollection of memories like I did when I was a child in Toronto before the COVID-19 Pandemic. In that scene moment, I thought it was a metallic or silver, most likely a digitalized-looking emblem or badge as an eyecatcher or title card. I didn't know the name of the show, as I know that most reality TV shows do title card inserts before and after commercial break. This task force show may have been unique unlike any other reality TV show that existed. I know that To Serve and Protect often had eyecatcher-like inserts of the badge of the letter O in PROTECT, and that show aired on ACTION (which became Adult Swim Canada in April 2019).

I first come across To Serve and Protect on the Action Channel Canada right in the same time-frame I my school was Fairbank Memorial Community School after Cedarvale Public School, around Grade 3, so I was about 4th grade to 5th grade in the time-frame I watched To Serve and Protect. I forget what year that would've been, it was way before I went to Parkdale Public School (the school I also hated like Fairbank MC School, but because of the students in my class (Toby and Max) in Grade 6, and I remember in around 2020, I was in Grade 7 I believe. Then moved to London, Ontario because of the Pandemic, around 2021 to Aberdeen Public School for Grade 7 and 8 before Montcalm Secondary School (my recent school, I already graduated in June 2026 this year).

While this was on Disney Channel in 1999, but the exactly blue transition text of white is exactly closer to what I remembered about that "metallic emblem" task force show on A&E I could've sworn existed when I was a kid. I know that Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura is exactly close because of the blue transition background in the intro, but that was on History Channel, which I definitely remember promo packages for History and Discovery Channel at that time, often on A&E.

I definitely remember Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force, that was apparently the only A&E task force show that existed at that time, but when I looked up America's Most Wanted back then as a child who had a vague memory of a metallic emblem task force show, I thought about the Manhunters poster with Lenny DePaul holding a silver U.S. Marshal star badge like that was closer to what I vividly remembered. I was certain it was on A&E because I've been thinking that the task force show being on A&E was too familiar to me, and thus Manhunters poster rang a bell for me. That's not the show, that show has nighttime New York City skyline blue and orange text title card, exactly A show I remembered, just not THE show (with the plausible metallic emblem title card) that I could've sworn (I thought) existed.

I finally figured out to share this Instagram link of the "So Weird" intro video I thought was possible and was going to transfer it to r/PersonalMandela.

Edit to Add because my sister was bothering me in the background, I apologize that it's not full unedited explanation: The intro video of the blue transition and white text is close to the "Metallic Emblem" task force show I thought existed as an A&E show (Got the pizza delivery from Superior Pizza & Wings), as many other shows like Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura and Steven Seagal: Lawman, which also feel familiar, but not the slightest. CTWJV definitely rang a bell for me, while no metallic emblem like I thought I remembered, and that was on History Channel, not A&E or any other channel I think besides History.

💭(Thought processing (for Honesty purposes that I worship God in Honesty and Intelligence): I know that History Channel promos on A&E as much with Discover Channel, National Geographic, and Investigation Discovery were very common back then at that time. I only thought the task force show I was certain was on A&E, no other channel.

Whether it was a Mandela effect, I could've sworn I remembered it, to my perspective back when I was a child, although I don't remember it nowadays as an adult, as I don't remember what I did at Surrey Place like I vividly did when I was a child.

Once upon a time I received a firmware update to my JBL flip 5 that enabled the 3 band equalizer found on their newer speakers. I went on a hiatus for a couple months due to my family member using the speaker so I redownloaded the app. To my dismay the equalizer is gone. I don't think much of it at the time so months go on until the thought bugged me today so I looked it up to find out apparently the speaker NEVER had an equalizer of any kind through the app

Does anyone else remember this? I remember reading articles about how he was struggling so hard with the diagnosis and the treatment causing issues with his mental health. My dad died due to complications from cancer, and I remember following the story SOLELY because it made me so sad to see him struggling in a similar way to how my dad struggled. This was a whole thing too... Broadly spread interviews that were conducted in quiet, private areas.

I read an article not long ago saying he un-alived himself. I remember him doing that but it was due to the mental health issues he had from the cancer and it not responding to treatment. He wanted to go out on his own terms.

How did the story change so drastically?

If there is a bleeding effect through realities, maybe that explains why the Chester in this timeline did what he did. Maybe the pain and confusion bled from that timeline into this one? Idk. All I know is that I'm not crazy. I remember this vividly, and now there's not one mention of it ANYWHERE.

Today was one of the few Times within 15 years of living in this old Farm house which i had to go in the huge attic of the old Part of the House.

Last Time i was Up there must have been nearly 10years ago.

I remember how it looked from Back then and today i went Up there and it was my personal Mandela Effect.

First i climbed Up the ladder and when i came up and saw a transom which i cant remember to ever been there before.

I clearly remember i could Stand Up straight after coming up the ladder.

But this Time i have to crawl under this transom and then i could stand up straight.

The Second was the stuff Up there.

The Former owners left behind some of the old Farming stuff Like forks,shovels etc.

I clearly remember they where all lined Up Standing at a pole where now this transom ist located, right when you climb Up the ladder.

Now all the stuff is lying next to each Other in the Glass wool which is insulating the ceiling in the room under the attic.

The third strange Thing ist, i remember my Former father in law say, dont Go over the Glass wool insulation i dont know If the ceiling will hold your weight you might break through,so he went around it in a U-shape walk near the roof so at the Edge of the attic and i really can remember a path of Wood laying on the ground so you could reach all parts of the attic with this small path.

But there is no path, its all isolated with Glass wool, only some single wooden boards to step on on the ground.

I even cant remember that there was something Like a sheet of Material over the Glass wool insulation, i remember you couldt walk over it easily like this what i did today, and i know last Time i would sink in into this insulation just by Putting some weight on it.

May be my memory is playing tricks on me but i clearly remember it totally different than today and it keeps me awake tonight as i usually have a memory like an elephant and can remember everything like watching a movie in front of my eyes.

When I was 13 my eighth grade English class was doing a spelling bee that me and two other of my classmates got the same score on, and our teacher said that we would do like a “grand final” the next day.

The next day he’s only talking to my other two classmates and I said that I also got the same score and he said I would be in the final too, but he and no one else could remember it. Feels like I got transported to an alternate reality

I’m posting this here because I recently listened to a very similar story from this subreddit on YouTube.

For some context: I’m Polish. Around 2013–2014, The Walking Dead was airing on Polish national TV, Saturday, either at 11:00 p.m. (Season 3) or 11:55 p.m. (Season 4). I don’t remember which exact season it was. I only remember it was one of the seasons with the Governor. Because I didn’t have cable TV (Show also aired on FOX and AMC), and Netflix didn’t exist in Poland back then, I had to watch it late at night on an old 13-inch TV. I must have dozed off at some point during the episode, but at some point, I woke up to an eerie scene of a naked woman kneeling on one knee by a lake, with other naked people lying dead in bloody water. It wasn’t a very explicit scene. She had damaged hair and face (but not in a zombie like way) and there was some blood on her. Her breast was visible, but she was filmed from the side, so nothing else been seen. Some of the dead people were lying face-up, but they were far away, so I don’t think any details would have been visible. I call it eerie because there was no music, and the woman never moved, only the water been moving. It was like 15-20 seconds before I fully woke up and changed the channel, half because it made me feel eerie and half because I didn’t want my parents to walk in on me watching naked people on TV (I was either 15 or 16, depends which season was that).

I was channel hopping (all 7 back then) before switching back to TWD, but at that point, it was showing a normal scene with the Governor. I assumed it was an actual scene from the show until I talked to a friend, few days later (He had cable TV so he didn't watch same broadcast). Same day, I pirated that episode to check, but I couldn't find that scene anywhere.

I started writing this post hoping for some answers, but honestly, I don’t see how there could be any. I was pretty much woken up at this point. It couldn’t have been a commercial, because Polish national TV doesn’t have commercial breaks during movies or shows, and even then, wtf would it have been advertising? The only way I can think it might happen is if they accidentally aired a scene from another movie, but I don’t know if TV broadcasting works that way. So yeah, I guess I’m just venting now.

When I was like 5, I lived in my father's side grandparents house. I lived for a couple of years there and I have very shaky memories of my time there, like having a big dog that I roamed around with a garden with an outhouse, a chicken pen and a garden.

I think there was a pine tree as well.

So far nothing is different but I'm pretty sure from the street you could see a window in the rooftop that was supposed to be an attic room. I always wanted to climb up there but I couldn't find a way to enter. I once tried to climb the wall but when I did I just couldn't find the window.

Then when I checked the house from the outside the attic window wasn't there anymore.

My parents got divorced and I never went back to that house, but that memory stuck with me forever.

I was so curious to get up there and find what was inside that mysterious room !

In the Late 80's and early 90s There used to be a popular Childrens toy company like Toys"R"Us right before ToysRUs took over the toy industry called "The Rainbow Railroad". They were in every major city and town in America and when I was a small child in around 1995, going to these different stores was one of my strongest early memories.

They were a major box store and theres no way im mis remembering this. They had a distictiverainbow Logo with an oldschool train facing you going on curved tracks. They specialized in Model trains thay were running around each of the stores and sold rows of custom R/C cars...but had several isles of toys. Both of my parents are dead so I never got a chance to ask them about it in adulthood; There doesnt seem to be any trace of it on the internet and no one I ask about knows a thing about it.

So the big bang theory is one of those comfort shows of mine that I put on in the background when doing things around the house if I don't want to listen to an audiobook. After howard's mother dies and him and Bernadette fly into the airport and their luggage is lost, including his mother's ashes, there is the bit at the end of the scene where the employee says 'would 500 frequent flyer miles help? That would get you to sacramento' and the scene now ends there.

I remember the scene ending with the employee saying that line and then howard puts his head down and said 'yes' while holding his card in front of him, but now I can't find anything about that scene online.

I normally question my own memories when things like this happen, but I saw that scene so many times and remember thinking about how dark the humor was in that moment and found it funny. Apparently that scene never happened, though!
