Its... too early to say. And since there's not really any research on this kind of thing, we don't know what to expect. It really all hinges on if Jetstream and Tex can form a strong enough bond to mega evolve, and just hope that elevates the build up of mega energy.

Yeah, we met in Sinnoh when we were both in our late teens, or so? My partner's an ex-champion, so we end up at a lot of the same events and travels some of the same circles. He's a pretty cool guy.

It disgusts me to think that there are trainers out there who treat Mega Evolution with such blatant disrespect, such disregard for the bond between people and Pokémon. All they see is the power, not caring about the risks. Still, if Skarmory’s trainer understands where they went wrong and are trying to help with the recovery, I suppose I can withhold my judgement.

Well, the trainer that did this is currently in prison for this and apparently other crimes that are much worse. Jetstream's current trainer rescued them and is dedicated to helping them. That's why they brought this poor guy to our rehab center. My partner started Silverwing Rescue and Rehab as a bird rehab before we branched out to other types of pokemon, but we've got a lot of experience with avians specifically.

Can confirm, I've done mega evolution a few times and it's a really special thing that you have to get right or everyone loses. So I'm definitely going to be careful with this.

No, Tex took him in after he was abused by his previous trainer. It's difficult to home an injured pokemon, but Tex stepped up. And as a very qualified steel type specialist, I'd say Jetstream is in the best hands I could think of.

You'd have to talk to Tex about that. My role in this right now is generally physical therapy and check ups. It'll be up to those two to do the real important stuff.
