✈️ Travel & Tourism Pokhara, Nepal — Is Phewa Lake worth visiting for a first-time traveler?

I’m considering a trip to Pokhara and Phewa Lake caught my attention. Besides boating, what activities or nearby places would you recommend? Also, how many days would be enough to explore the area without rushing?

Ask Pokhreli Tired of searching rooms in Pokhara

Hey I am living here in Pokhara with my mom and sister. Me and sister goes to college and it’s been so difficult to get rooms rn it’s so urgent for me Can you please help me find the rooms around area ( Fulbari, mahendrapool, chipledhunga, Newroad, srijanachowk) even nearer to this places are fine. I had also been to room rental and searching rooms by going door to door and they also only have flat rn and we can’t afford flat and searching for 1 single big room or 2 rooms under 10k with attached bathroom is even better.

💬 Discussion Climate Change and Consumption

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Glaciers are collapsing, lakes are bursting, and rivers are changing, yet we keep hearing the same solutions:solar panels, electric cars, tree plantations, another summit. After decades of summits, emissions continue to rise.

So an uncomfortable question comes up: Are we treating the disease, or only the fever? We often treat climate change as a technical problem, too much carbon, so reduce carbon. But where does the carbon come from? Consumption. And why do we keep consuming more? Perhaps there is an emptiness within us that we rarely stop to examine, and we are taught to fill it with things: a bigger house, a better car, another holiday, the next upgrade.

But the emptiness never seems to disappear, so the next thing is always needed. The emptiness within is bottomless. The Earth is not. That is where the collision begins.

Banning CFCs was relatively straightforward, but carbon is woven into almost everything we love, the tea we drink, the cars we drive, the flights we take, the homes we build. Consumption is emission. Technology can make consumption more efficient, but efficiency doesn't necessarily end it, a better engine can simply allow us to drive more.

Perhaps the deeper crisis is not only in the atmosphere, but in the human mind that keeps demanding more. Before asking how to save the planet, perhaps we need to ask: who is consuming it? Maybe self-observation is where another kind of environmentalism begins, when we understand ourselves well enough that consumption becomes less compulsive. First know the one who is heating it.

🆘 Urgent HELP if someone from Germany and have some info regarding

I AM currently studying BCA at Pokhara University, 2nd sem, and thinking about Germany. I haven’t started German or anything yet. I’m confused between a Bachelor’s at a public uni and Ausbildung. My family can afford Australia too, but I don’t want to take unnecessary risks. I also want a qualification that gives me opportunities in other countries, not just Germany. If I study at a public uni, can I realistically cover my living expenses through part-time work? And how difficult is it to get into a public university with +2 Science + 2 semesters of BCA from Nepal? What requirements should I prepare for?
