They say everything he does is bad and also say he’s not doing his job… they’re utter losers.

i dont get why they hate him when they dont even live in NYC

hate is all they have. They are trash and need to tear others down to feel better about it.

LBJ said it plainly: "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

This needs to be modernized, because despite racism being a real problem and many still are motivated by this dumbest form of ignorance, there are plenty of non-white capitalists that would and do make the very same arguments.

"Give a working person someone to look down on, and they'll never look up to see who's robbing them."

Cause NYC is like one place they don't control. They won't stop until they control everything.

We are the enemy to them.

It's easier than addressing the real cause of a problem.

News stories about "this guy bad" take up attention from other problems.

That pretty much sums up any of the whining about any given city. A bunch of people who don't live in any of the cities, have never been to them, and never have any plans of going there, feel very strongly about things that their favorite talking heads have told them to care about.

Just like with California, they hate us cause they ain't us, they hate him cause they ain't him.

It's a spark to a conversation about changing the U.S. economic hegemony. People can see that NY can be run as a socialist democracy with higher taxes on billionaires and multi millionaires to help some of the poorest people in the city.

When people see that can be a success, people start questioning why they aren't doing it all over the states. The Red Scare has done irreparable damage to the average American's view on anything that resembles faint socialism, and the governments America have had (Both Republican and Democrat btw) for my entire life have been personally financially benefitting from the current system.

I don't have much hope for much change when lobbying is still legal in America. Some Americans see things like having private healthcare and shitty working conditions as a flex. It's insane.

The fear of loss. They're worried that if it happens in NYC, it will set a precedent where it'll happen in other places. THAT means they lose a lot of money and power.

It’s the only emotion they feel anymore.

It’s because their own lives are miserable and think they can unburden themselves psychologically if they blame someone 1000 miles away.

because it's not about NYC, he is trying to destroy America

2

u/RedditSpyder12 Jul 27 '26

Americas already getting destroyed by conservatives right now. Might as well let him cook.
