Sadly though, many will say "hey they ended up in the same place" not recognizing that one is the result of hard work and brains and the other fell upward.

Exactly. Sadly this proves that even an idiot can rise to the highest office, as long as he's otherwise despicable enough to appeal to the worst aspects in society.

No, they both went to school. Only one of them learned anything, and graduated with honors; the other was summarily pushed out the gate like a recalcitrant turd.

yeah

if reaching high place is the goal, they are right and this does not refute them

the reason not to is a love of knowledge and honesty, and we have to teach them they are a total failure if they put being "successful" before those

Trump was falling upward his entire life. The Pied Piper strategy was reckless, but saying it ā€œensuredā€ Trumpā€™s nomination rewrites 2016 to absolve everyone who actually enabled him. Republican candidates spent months fighting one another, treating Trump as a sideshow and assuming someone else would stop him. Republican voters chose him, GOP leaders eventually surrendered to him, and Democrats badly miscalculated. Turning all of that into ā€œClinton did itā€ is grievance politics, not history.
