I'd suggest that the uneducated part is far higher than 1/3....The top 30% of Americans are quite well educated but below that it goes off a cliff...and that's by design..

If you aren't educated in it how do you know it's "real science"? Hell most of the Democratic base literally can't objectively define a female vs male. They define it purely based on feelings and opinions. So the idea of "educated" is purely subjective.

It's also funny because Carl Sagan also talks about your type in this book the so-called arm chair skeptics. Where in reality you are just acting in bad faith.

Carl Sagan specifically says that these "skeptics" are interesting because they make it a whole conspiracy that scientists are hiding behind these huge lies to convince the public.

When in reality good science is inherently anti-authority as it does not care that someone says this happens when you do that

A good scientist goes and does the thing and then from that we are able to start forming a good theory on why the thing happens

What you're imply simply doesn't happen when you follow the method

Imagine caring about the trans culture war that affects almost no one when there are real issues like insane corruption and crime in the highest levels of government; immense waste, fraud, and abuse of republicans; a republican protected pedo ring; climate change; another republican Forever War in the Middle East; AI and data centers; massive transfers of wealth from the poor to the rich; a surveillance state; and an claimed democracy being exposed as an oligarchy.

The TTN gene alone is often spliced into upwards of 100 different functional transcripts for unique proteins within the human body.

This is why education matters, because not every person can be knowledgeable on every subject. Iā€™m an expert in biology because Iā€™ve studied it all my life and Iā€™m still learning more every day. When you stop listening to experts, problems become simplified to the point of nonsense because of a lack of real information and all nuance is lost.

Better? No. More Important? Depends on what they went to school for. Stuff like trade schools and going to college to become doctors and teachers just to name a few important careers that immediately come to mind yes I would say that makes someone more important
