I was a fanatic about personality theories, but they never quite hit the mark for me. I mean, they always have people seemingly never able to find a type for themselves and find themselves between seemingly contradictory types.

Wel,l not with the Elemental Grid!

The Elemental Grid offers 12 crisp, distinct, and recognizable types that one can easily see themselves falling into. While I won't act like the system is currently perfect, because it is a work in progress, I do find it much more intuitive than what we have today.

If you are a nerd about categorizations, systems, and personality types like I am. Or perhaps you are a nerd in general (no shade, I am a huge one myself), I swear you will love this.

Here are the types so far:

**Air Ground** (The Inventor)

Active, quick witted, principled, fast moving, adaptive, high energy presence with great consistency and pristine momentum. Excels in timely calculations, real time action, and orderly output. Unlike other air types, The Inventor has a strong usage and appreciation for cohesion. They strive to create a sense of completion via fast application and interconnection of ideas. Unlike the Analyst, this type prioritizes speed more heavily and is less bound by whatever rules they establish for themselves or others. Like the Analyst, this type is constantly trying to develop a way to calculate certainty. Can seem detached and possibly even aloof. Master of Theoretical Invention and navigation.

**Ground Air** (The Analyst)

Grounded, methodical, steady, consistent presence with pristine consistency and great momentum. Excels in quick yet long term stretches of reasoning. Unlike other ground types, the Analyst acknowledges the importance of change so despite their heavily structured mind, they are constantly and steadily evolving themselves and their environments. Unlike the Inventor, this type tends to pace themselves more strictly and are more rigid. Can seem detached and very stubborn. Like the inventor, this type is constantly trying to craft and navigate certainty. Master of Sustained, Theoretical Thinking.

**Air Fire** (The Objector)

Active, quick witted, fast moving, extremely adaptive, and bombastic, presence with a great means to break down large amounts of unique information. Unlike the Tactician, the Objector is much more focused on speed and change. The Objector is constantly deconstructing and making mental notes of how everything can be built and taken apart, especially theoretically. This type can be extremely chaotic and hard to keep up with. Master of Debate.

**Fire Air** (The Tactician)

Deconstructive, aggressive, relentless presence that constantly disrupts order and constantly breaks down new information. Very focused on enforcing their will and can do so in a more focused, and timely manner. This Tactician is the best type to ask for quick, decisive action and targeted infiltratuon. Very quick to spread their influence. Unlike the Objector, this type is more focused and tends to have a more specific agenda. Master of Focused Disruption.

**Ground Fire** (The Enforcer)

Grounded, methodical, steady presence with an inclination to protect their resources, routines, and territory. Unlike other ground types, the Enforcer embraces passion and aggression as appropriate means to keep their systems in tact. They have strong convictions about their opinions and whoever and whatever they deem essential to their life. Meaning, this type can be very judgmental and impassioned when something contradicts or complements their systems. Unlike The Trailblazer, this type isn't emitting a constant tension and emotion to them, and is a lot calmer than The Trailblazer. Can seem intimidating, severe, and stoic. Master at Territoriality.

**Fire Ground** (The Trailblazer)

A passionate, influential, relentless presence that creates new order in their path and actively constructs new ones after taking down old institutions. Acts with constant efficiency. Unlike the Enforcer, this type tends to be more energetic, active, and on the go. They are constantly trying to induce their will around them and even their own psyche, painting broad truths and convictions about themselves, their environment, and society. Always finding the insufficiencies of what is inside or around them. Can seem intimidating and intense. Master at Sustained Expansion.

**Air Water** (The Chameleon)

Fast moving, creative, easygoing, mind that constantly and quickly adapts to new people and environments. Tends to be a more restorative presence and can come off as quite relaxed. Unlike the Empath, this type isn't overly concerned with trying to match other people's or the environment's vibe as much. Rather, they are constantly trying on new faces and energies in a hungry curiosity. Master at Camouflaging.

**Water Air** (The Empath)

A constantly adaptable, easygoing mind that is regularly interpreting others and their environment, and finding equilibrium. Unlike the Chameleon, this type isn't constantly on the move and trying on new faces for the sake of it. This type prefers to blend in with people, aesthetics, and environments with a desire to absorb and understand. Master of Empathy

**Ground Water** (The Anchor)

Grounded, steady, methodical presence that has a great grip on resilience and reconstruction. Brings together and anchors communities with a sense of understanding. This type is very anchored in their routines and the environment around them. They are constantly trying to maintain an inner peace and consistency to stay in a mindful, calm state. Master of Resilience.

**Water Ground** (The Healer)

An adaptable yet steady presence that not only restores itself but others. They are often absorbing the energy of a room, emotions, etc and trying to understand them to gain a sense of consistency and formulaic understanding. Often this type tries to paint truths about people in general from all of their observations. Constantly moving and influencing change around them. Master of Restoration.

**Fire Water** (The Catalyst)

A disruptive, influential yet adaptive presence that is excellent at influence and bringing together new causes. Constantly trying to inflict their will on their mind, environment, etc. Occasionally absorbs the feelings and energies around them to heighten their own resolve. Can seem intense and is great at provoking emotion. Master of Rallying.

**Water Fire** (The Impressionist)

An extremely adaptable and influential presence that has an intuitive understanding of how to embody and deconstruct numerous emotional states. Can seem hard to predict with bouts of intensity. Can have a tendency to "merge" with others and absorb their passions. Good at reading emotions and figuring out how to change them. Unlike the Catalyst, the Impressionist tends to be more in tune with the emotions of others and generally more empathetic. Master at Emotional Manipulation.

Hello fellow consumers of things you were very specifically warned not to open. Over the coming days, I’ll be working to establish rules, flairs, fun things, and all the boring moderator stuff that happens on the back end to get this space up and running again.

For those who don’t know, Dead Dove: Do Not Eat was adopted heavily by fanfiction writers as shorthand for the tags mean what they say. It has since grown into a broader umbrella for dark and taboo fiction in general. Which, as it turns out, quite a lot of us love.

This sub will be a space to rec the dead dove you’ve been reading, writing, dreaming about, or laughing at (yes, we should poke fun at it too. If we’re going to read about unspeakable horrors, we’re allowed to make memes about it.) Fanfiction, trad pub, web novels, and other forms of publishing are all welcome. 

You can also come here to ask the internet if anyone remembers that one dead dove you read three years ago where there was a guy in a mask, something about stalking, and absolutely no other useful information. Someone might know which one you mean (miracles happen on Reddit).

So I made one where there’s basically no such thing as off topic.
