New to quilling. What ya think?

I've been wanting to try a portrait style for a while now so I'm practicing how to do faces. This is my first try

For traditional wedding anniversary gifts year one is paper, so I decided to try out quilling for the first time! My husband is year of the tiger and I’m year of the rabbit, the pattern is based off of some red envelopes that we have displayed. I played around in procreate to figure out my plan, watched a bunch of tutorials, and then just kinda went for it.

I WAY underestimated the amount of time this would take! I wasn’t great at tracking, but I think around 30 hours went into this. I wasn’t exactly efficient, I had to undo things a few times, but I’m still really happy with the end result!

I work really hard, and I put my heart into everything I do. Maybe Allah hasn’t blessed me with success yet, but I believe that one day, InshaAllah, my time will come. Until then, I’ll keep working, keep believing, and keep moving forward. Hasbunallahu wa ni‘mal wakeel.”

What the title says

So I'm making this chibi piece of a character and I've made the face from a single large coil. But there's this hole in the middle that's ruining the whole look. Pls help me out🫠

I've wanted to try quilling for a long time and never have. I've finally managed to get hold of a beginners kit anyone got any tips ?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to create this phoenix artwork on A3 (credits to the owner!) and was unsure about the type of base to use for it.

I might be framing it and using it as a wall art if it turns out well so I want the base to hold up nicely. Any and all help would be appreciated!

P.S. I'm quite new to quilling (dabbled a little in it as a kid, but that's it) so tips are welcome too! :D
