I’m a couple of weeks behind so apologies if they’ve covered it, but did they stop doing an episode dedicated to Glansbergs? I don’t remember there being one last year and it seems like they more so just mention them in passing/have replaced it with the All-Boring Team.

Would be a shame if so, was always a fan of hearing their thoughts on the more under the radar guys they haven’t covered at length for whatever reason

My family fantasy football league drafted tonight. Picked 7th out of 12 and JSN fell, took Javonte Williams in the second round, followed by Josh Allen in the third.

At this point I had to commit to the bit of drafting an entire team full of players whose first name started with J and trying to draft as good of a team as I could.

Think it went ok?

Lord have mercy! Let me say this, I am NOT trying to say my take purges would have been any better (they definitely weren’t, and thank the lord they didn’t make the listener take purge), but it is insane to listen back to some of these takes that were either deemed “good” or “not that hot”. It’s just a friendly reminder that none of us, myself included have any idea what we’re talking about. The landscape of the NFL and sports in general changes quickly and dramatically. I won’t list the takes here, only our innies can discuss them, but if you get a chance, just listen back to that episode and keep that in mind when you’re drafting this weekend!

Good morning, does anyone know if there's a list or spreadsheet of the takes they had last year to see how they panned out. I know fantasy is a crapshoot/luck and at this point I listen for the hosts but I would like to see the results

This is a product of a healthy work environment. If you move never been in a place where your boss and you can rip into each other over stupid shit like this you’ve worked at some bland ass companies.

It was funny, it played, and they’re getting clicks views and impressions. Success all around. Could they do better with production? abso fucking loutley, but overall I was genuinely entertained and anytime you give Sal the opportunity to rib people all day you take it! You just do!

Side bar: I know regular listeners have a soft spot for Heifetz because of how well the show works, but he’s clearly a bit of a dweeb and can be very grating. He is the definition of the HR meme. He made a joke about the sandwiches being for the production staff and no one laughed and DK shut it down immediately and said something like “wow way to take it too far”. Sal makes the joke 5 minutes later and everyone laughs.

Overall: Good job by you boys! Can’t wait for more leaks from the group message that apparently includes Changs assistant (the real prick here).

Fennessey's rant at the beginning of the fantasy draft was clearly a gripe he was trying to turn into a bit. It didn't land perfectly, but I doubt the fantasy football guys cared after the draft was over.

Meanwhile the QB drafting started as a bit and then everyone piled on for a long time. My dumb rule of thumb is "If you could see it happening to the coolest member of the group, it is a joke. If not, it is probably mean-spirited." I can't picture the group colluding to stop Craig from getting a serviceable QB.

Enough negativity about the draft so here is some positivity.

Man was throwing fast ball after fast ball all live draft. Every word he said was comedic gold and carried that draft for me.

Dude was acting like an angry child the entire time throwing the silent treatment around. Constantly thinks he’s smarter than everyone.

Crazy part is this is a better version of him. He has built the reputation of being an awful human being to people who work with him in the restaurant world (me having first hand experience and witnessing it)

Probably piling on at this point, but I feel like nobody really recognizes that the fantasy pod is one of the biggest sports podcasts in the country… they are pretty much doubling russillos listening numbers at this point. They are a flagship show for the ringer, Really only second to Bill for ringer sports shows. Can you imagine fennessey berating other top talent like that??? On a live stream? Imagine Russillos reaction if places were swapped. Downright one of the biggest loser moments I’ve ever seen on a pod. Imagine getting paid to show up to work and it’s a fantasy football draft with your friends, and then you just spazz out at the people organizing it, complaining it’s a waste of your time. Imagine talking to subordinates like that at all. Especially on a live stream. This on top of them being forced to read fucking chat gpt ads that I know they disapprove of.
