Looking to hand my lease over as I recently received a job offer in Houston. The lease is for a 3 bed 3 bathroom (but I do NOT have roommates!) for $400 at 18 Seventy Nine. The lease is a yearlong and would end in July. Fully furnished (i.e., TV, desk, dining room table, etc.), pet friendly, and with indoor washer and dryer.

For anyone interested, please send me a message and I'd be happy to show off the space or answer any questions. I included the basic floor plan below. I'd ideally like to hand the lease over before the start of October, but am flexible if I know someone at least has interest.

How do we not have a speech and debate club? That used to be my favorite activity in high school, only to find out that one doesn't exist here. Do people just not care about debate anymore, or is this something we need to start?

hey all! i’ve been seeing a lot of posts abt people looking for friends and the ministry im apart of - the bsm, which is right down the hill from the lsc on the entrance near the kat klub, has free lunch on Wednesdays 12-1, and free dinner, worship and bible study at 7 pm thursdays! you don’t have to be religious to come but it’s a good way to get connected, find friends and just a community in general! there’s people from all ages, all majors and all interests there!

Heyo im a 19f criminal justice major! I know i can just join groups and make friends that way but I dont see a need to since im not doing a full 4 years. I tried to join a lot of groups last year but got burnt out way to quickly, so im taking things easy this year and next year.

A little about me is that i draw sometimes and I have painted a few statues. I can also do face painting.

Im a huge homebody so I much prefer to lay in bed but I also love going and and doing stuff like going to dance clubs or taking walks around campus.

I also dont have a lot of social media due ti being banned. (Its a whole thing)

I’m just trying to see if there are any other Haitian students on campus.

I’m Haitian-American and a pre‑nursing/nursing student here, and I haven’t had much luck finding anyone in person, so I figured I’d ask here to see if the community is a little more visible online.

I know SHSU doesn’t really have a Haitian org or a visible Caribbean group, but I’d still love to connect with other Haitian and Caribbean students, whether you grew up in the islands, were born here, or are just part of the diaspora. Even a small group or chat would be cool.

Hello everyone! My name is Isabella, and I am trying to reinstate the SHSU democrats club under the national chapter, College Democrats of America. I am firstly making this post to see if there is any actual interest in such a club! I couldn't help but notice the harsh disparity between the number of republican clubs and democratic clubs (in which there are none), and I wanted to change that. The main goal of this club would be political outreach, opportunities to meet district members of the democratic party, and, if you are like me, have a good foot in the door on your CJ or Political Science resume. A little about me : I'm a psych major with a legal studies minor. I'm also working on getting my paralegal certificate at the same time (aiming to be a lawyer one day)

I am a new grad student and I am having trouble with bank mobile. I have never attended a school that used a third party site for payroll but from what was described in my hr onboarding it sounds like we have to login through bank mobile and set up our direct deposit on there with our personal bank and this is the same process from financial aid refunds. My issue is I cannot get into my account and have been asked more than once now to verify my number. I have called bank mobile multiple times and have contacted student services and basically have gotten no where. So basically does anyone know of maybe any department that could help me with this issue or am I just stuck at the whim of bank mobile?

Hi, so I recently got into dnd (Dungeons & Dragons) and just finished my first campaign! Sadly, the group disbanded after that because it was online, and the DMs' schedule changed.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any recs on where to get into another campaign? I heard in person is cool so I'm wanting to try, so is there any place at Sam or Huntsville for this?

I just found out about this yesterday and I want to know more about it. As far as I'm aware, you're able to use one of your meal swipes from your dining plan to get food from places outside the dining hall (such as the restaurants in the LSC). Is that correct? Are there limitations to it (I have the all access plan), like how many times I can use meal equivalency per day? Is there anything else I should know about it? I can't find anything about it on the official website

Hi! I'm a high school senior currently, and I'm wondering what sort of pieces I can add to an art portfolio. I plan to pursue animation, but I haven't exactly animated stuff in a long while. I want to see current students attending SHSU to get an idea! I'm still learning a lot more about art, so I'm still planning out on pieces. (I haven't even sent my application yet lol.) hey yall! i just got accepted, majoring in cybersecurity for fall ‘27. i need some general advice about shsu in general, as im just now entering my senior year and i dont know much about shsu as a whole. best places to eat around huntsville? best things to do? what should i and should i not do? any advice helps!
