Sheetz at Old Route 119, Homer City PA

This was a closed Sheetz Indiana County location from the 1980s, possibly opened before 1983. All we know about it is, the photos we have are 96-YIN-4 from 1983 and 13-WIN-6 from 1992, it was demolished when Route 119 expanded to 4 lanes instead of 2 lanes, the location is now a Lola’s Daycare, and many people from Indiana County born before the 90s remembers this location, if we can get more info about this location, like the Store Number before it closed, or any stories you like to share about it, as long as it’s following the community rules, you can post anything about this location, the examples for Known Store Numbers are going to be here

401K and Esop

Okay so I'm quitting soon, I put my 2 weeks in right. How do I pull my 401k money? I would be putting it into a savings account for right now until I get this new job figured out. As for the Esop, I forget it's been so long, do we get that money after we quit? Whatever we've invested into it?? Thanks 🥹 I have a good chunk in both accounts because I've been with Sheetz for 4 years, I dont want to lose either!

Customer Question Sick after eating Gobbz pie??

Upvotes

Me and my fiance ordered food from Sheetz about 4-5 days ago while a friend was over. We all got the same fried food, but only me and my fiance had a Gobbz each. They arrived cold and the expiration date was okay. We've had them before and never had an issue, but this time we both (A BIT TMI) have had the runs/stomach cramps. No throwing up, but slight nausea. We are both still having stomach problems and can both eat fine, but not much of an appetite.. Has anyone else gotten sick after eating Gobbz from Sheetz recently?? Maybe they changed their recipe?

I'm loving the glow from the roof on this new build

Is this a recent addition to the new store design? It's not the neon that the vintage stores had, but I think it looks awesome.

This is #938 (Gloucester, Virginia).

Question about Hot dog reward upcharge. Points expiring today 8/31

Is there still unlimited extras to add to your 2 hot dogs when you use your rewards? Everything else specifically says 1 upcharge. I used to turn these cheap (but delicious) hot dogs into a gourmet pretzel bun chilli cheese (plus so much more) $9 absolute messy mouthwatering meal for free. Like a lot of you my points are expiring today (833 left) and I'm so indecisive with this newer (to me) 1 upcharge thing.

First week working at sheetz Oh my God what a nightmare

Let's start with training. My training consisted of two weeks of 4 hour shifts were we sat on the Ipad and worked on the register once for about an hour. We made drinks for an hour and there were five of us training so each person made one drink. We spent a total of 0 minutes in the kitchen making food. I also found it hilariously ironic that in all the computer training it would have a section at the end saying do these tasks with your mentor now. We never once did these tasks. Awesome training sheetz. Honestly the first few days of work weren't bad besides not knowing how to do most stuff. It's easy enough. The only thing that happened my first couple days was getting yelled at for leaving the scoop in the ice bin after having just clocked in. I hadn't even gotten any ice lol last Saturday during dinner time there was only me on my fourth day and one other dude in the kitchen for the dinner rush..  The real nightmare started last night however. I was supposed to work from 10pm to 630 am. One of the managers called me and asked me to come in early cause they had a call off. I said sure and got there at 7. The second thing the day supervisor says to me is Hey so Lezlie (not real name) the overnight manager might be a little mad at you but don't take it personally. I asked why and she said cause I came in early and would be leaving at 3:30 instead of 6 from 3 to 6 and there would only be two people total working and they wouldn't be able to get anything done. The night manager Lezlie was so mad and ridiculous i cant even believe it. She was insanely passive aggressive and shitty to me the whole night. I was watching the front and tried to do some dishes in between customers and got yelled at because according to lezlie if I had time to do dishes I didn't need to be called in early. That doesn't make any sense to me. She also told me the day manager lied about the call off and just wanted to screw her. Then we were in the kitchen and we were slammed with 50 plus orders from 11pm till i left at 3:30 i was on finisher. I was trying to help her at expo when she told me to get out of her way and stay out of her way. Okay heard. Then i got yelled at cause i put an item in a bag  but she already had a bag ready. Okay so i think I'm done trying to help expo fine. Then 7 items pile up on the expo counter and get this she yelled at me about not sending the food. Like you bitch you told me not to touch expo. The day manager goes home at 130 she stayed late to help. Lezlie comes up to me and say in kind of a crying tone says if I start crying don’t ask me about it leave me alone and mind your fucking business. I thought she was joking she was not then she proceeded to sob for 15 min while making food. Later I was on  starter and made a snack wrap and misread shredded cheddar for shredded chicken.so i put shredded chicken on the wrap and sent it. She says what the fuck is this. No wonder you're working at sheetz dumbass. I've had 10 jobs in my life this has been the absolute worst i cant wait to quit and leave theses fucks out to dry. Fuck sheetz

Employee Question FSA card not accepted

Hey guys I have an FSA card with Highmark as part of my benefits, but every time I try to use it, it says “not accepted by merchant”, even at places that clearly state they accept FSA cards. Anyone else had this issue?

Employee Question How do calls off as a training supervisor work?

Hey guys! I'm a shift supervisor and just finished my salesperson training last week, so today would have been my first non training (salesperson) 10 hour shift. I had to call in because I'm a 30 minute commute due to being in between moving, and my car started malfunctioning.

The mechanics won't be able to fix it until tomorrow so I'll likely have to call off. I was told it wouldn't be too many points even thought it's less than an hour notice before my shift. Also will that come off my PTO? Thanks in advance!

Unbelievably bad location.

Originally from PA, Sheetz fan. Now live in the Midwest US

Anyway recently drove back home to visit family. In the return trip, we needed gas and we're hungry, but didn't want to burn a lot of time. What would be the safe bet that would be decent, clean and fast? Sheetz. Well, it was our lucky day. Turns out that there was a Sheetz at the next exit.

The location we stopped at was apparently still being used as a set for a zombie movie. Holy cow.

Trash everywhere. Parking lot covered in litter blowing in the breeze. Store was absolutely filthy. I noticed my wife and daughter, who are pretty low maintenance, just standing there waiting for me. Turns out the place was so nasty they decided they'd rather go hungry. I'm talking touch screens which looked like a toddler ordered from after playing in honey.

In five decades on this earth and having lived and traveled all over the US and world, I've never seen a convenience store this much of a total disaster.

If anyone from corporate ever visited the location in Hurricane, West Virginia, they would be absolutely appalled.

Here my naive self remembered Sheetz from growing up in PA. Wow, have things changed.

Curious if anyone else has ever set foot in this alternate universe location. It was so bad I thought we must be on some hidden camera show or something.

Employee Question Time In Checkout (TIC)

Managers:

Give me your best tips and tricks for improving TIC.

If you have a way you’re cheating it, please let me know that too.

We are an extremely busy store and our TIC always sucks.

Think I just discovered the best food at Sheetz

200ish calories, 20g protein, $3…. Perfect for bulking and cutting. I don’t know when they added this as I just discovered this. But since I can’t really cook at home due to circumstances, this is perfect. What can you pair this with though? I’m thinking English muffin or something.

Is being a supervisor worth it?

Hey guys! I’m almost 22 and have been working for the company since I graduated high school in June of 2023. Recently, I’ve been thinking about promoting at my store to the 3rd shift supervisor position. It would be great money since I have my years of service($20.25 would be SUP rate) plus the $3 shift rate trial, and the extra $1.50 for 3rd. So I’d be making around $24.75 an hour. I have a few concerns, I’ve never been on 3rd shift only 2nd, and do not know the responsibilities and how to complete them on 3rd. Second, I’m worried that I’ll promote and hate it and then have no way almost out of the position like one of my 2nd shift SUPS did when I first started. Third, I’m worried about all the stress I may put on my plate considering my current shift is already super stressful since we are such a high volume and busy store. Finally, is if I’d even want to promote, find someplace else with better pay that I feel I don’t have to give as much to, and if I really do want to promote if I possibly want to leave the company or just try to find a different career path. Even though most of the jobs I’d like to work don’t pay enough to get me by or need certifications or degrees. I have a lot of bills I have to help pay and an almost 5 year old, so it’s hard to just say screw it and try to go back to college. I just wanted to see what some other supervisors or previous supervisors think. Especially if they are from a very busy store. Thanks!

Can you purchase fuel through app like WaWA?

Dropped my son off to school in North Carolina and got the Sheetz app and paid for his fuel through the app one time and it seemed very seamless and I thought everything was good. Then from then on I wasn’t able to and he’s not able to using the app. Is there something to this?

You were hoping that it was gonna be like the Wawa app where it’s very easy to purchase through the app

Employee Question Why can’t I access UKG from home?

Hey

So I’ve just completed training 2 weeks ago and im not able to access the UKG app from my phone. When I sign into sheetz it says I don’t have permission. I asked one of my coworkers about it and she’s able to access it from home but she’s also worked here longer than me?

Can someone explain what’s going on and if I can access the UKG app on my phone?

Can't login to UKG

Everything I sign in to Sheetz(SSO), it loads for a bit then goes white, and sends me back to the sign in screen. Does anybody have a fix?
