Hi ! Today, I’d like to show you what the kitten of my Siamese cat „Uta" looks like. I gave the kitten to my sister to adopt ! Here are a few photos she took that I find particularly cute.
if you want to see the mother, you can find her on my profile 👀.
Have a great day!

My childhood kitty who passed around 2 years ago. I’ve never seen a Siamese coat pattern that looked like her anywhere else.

My sweet blue point Duckie was already two years old when I adopted him, so I assumed he was finished toasting. Turns out, 6 months later, he had a little more time in the oven!

The first pic is from when I adopted him in March, the the second one was taken a few days ago!

New Siamese kitten that WONT STOP GOING CRAZY

Thumbnail

I just adopted a 3 month Siamese kitten who is being quarantined in my bedroom+bathroom as my cat still needs time to adjust to his scent. I need to update the vaccines on my cat this weekend as I already have an appointment and the kitten got his first vaccines but needs his booster shots, according to the vet. The issue is that the kitten will not stop howling and tearing up the room the moment I leave my bedroom to eat or feed my cat, shower, or anything not within sight of the kitten. I can't risk swapping the kitten and cat's rooms as I am worried about getting either of them infected with something but can't possibly stay with the kitten 24/7. I try to play with kitten every time I am free and feeds him a fat meal before sleep to try and get him to calm down and nap. But the MOMENT I leave the room or open the door, he wakes up and starts howling like I'm murdering him. What do I do???

Hi, I'm curious, if anyone here could share some insight (anyone who has a shortwave UV light). Main info below.

I made a post on the r/CatGenetics sub a while ago about my no breed foster lynx point kitten. She or more so her undercoat fluoresces orange under shortwave UV, me nor my vet have never seen this before. Could this have something to do with her colour-point gene? I UVd her for ringworm before her first vet appointment with me and showed to my vet and they'd never seen a cat glow orange like that before.

So I'm curious, if any of you, who have a shortwave UV light, does your cats undercoat also glow orange? I have 2 other non colourpoint cats and they don't have fluorescence.

Adopted A New Siamese Kitty ❤️

I adopted a new cat that was roaming around my neighborhood. I’m not sure what the gender of this beautiful kitty is, but either way, I absolutely love this cat already.

He’s a stray that lives around my neighborhood that was outside. When he started coming around my house, he was extremely malnourished and infested with fleas. My boyfriend and I cleaned him up, got all the fleas out, and put some flea medication on him. He has numerous flea bites, which really saddens me, but he/she already feels at home now despite today being the first day in our home.

We love him/her already and we’re going to take this new kitty to the vet this week to have him or her checked out. I’m praying that he doesn’t try to leave our house, especially since he was begging to come inside whenever my boyfriend and I were coming back home from work, school, or various other errands.

This beautiful boy or girl would stay outside in the road and was almost run over multiple times, because of his or her’s aimless roaming. I was so worried about this kitty being run over.

I already have one cat that I adopted this year who needs a friend to occupy her. Especially with how stir crazy she can get. So far, they are getting along very well! I’m so excited to see what the future brings us with our two cats, and my heart is so full to have the opportunity to give all my love to my two cats.

I have a hx of depression, and I just got into nursing school and started my classes. My stress is at a record high, and I know for a fact that having these two cats will give me the fulfillment and ease that I desperately need.

My beautiful girl caught a URI and had a fever a month ago, but because the colorpoint is heat-related, she currently has a fever mask 😷 Apparently we have to wait for her fur to regrow to return to their normal coloration, which will take another 2-3 months. Colorpoint is so fascinating!

chocolate point Experience with feline resorption?

Post image
78 Upvotes

My 10 year old boy went to the vet for a checkup and they noticed a resorptive lesion on a tooth and recommended extracting it. Under anesthesia they discovered the remnants of 3 teeth that had fully reabsorbed, the one with the active lesion, and a canine with an active lesion. I had never heard of this. He is doing well (after getting a post-op infection) and loving the switch to all wet food, but is he headed for toothless? Should I have bothered to extract? What are others experiences?

Upcoming vacation tips

Post image
72 Upvotes

Hi everyone. Our family has an upcoming vacation in October, and we will be away for 8 nights. This will be our first time leaving our sweet baby. My husband works from home, so since we got her, someone has always been home with her all day, so I'm worried about how she will do. She has been home alone for hours and has done well. Any tips? I want to make sure she's comfortable and knows we are coming back. Our neighbor is going to come over twice a day to help care for her. Also, I would like recommendations on pet cams so we can see her.

Mira was found in a hoarding situation along with 200 other cats at just a couple weeks old. She had a severe double eye infection that has left her with corneal scarring. We adopted her almost a year ago now and she is the absolute best baby. The last 2 photos are from the day we brought her home and about a month later. We thought for sure she would be short haired....nope!
