Please read the entire thread if you’re not familiar with this help section. If you have game issues, mod issues, App or console issues, please post them here via comment to get help instead of making an individual post. We've created this post for all troubleshooting issues, but this specific post is tailored toward the newest patch. If you have not updated the game, you can continue to post your issues here, but be aware that most replies may be telling you to update your game. You can also search the comments to find an issue similar to yours. 

When troubleshooting, make sure to delete your localthumbcache.package! Pockets of code from mods and the game can reside in that file, so it's important to go into the game with a clean slate!

For those users who are looking to remove the key legend overlay that was added in a previous patch. Here are the solutions:

  1. Click on the Help Center Icon (In the top righthand bar it's the hand with the ? over it) and unselect the "Show Controls Legend" button.

2. Go to Game Options > Tutorials & Tips > Disable Help Center Icon & Controls Legend.

I thought so. It's really REALLY upset me that my gallery is unplayable, I can't grab my own builds down, so much content has disappeared. I really don't want to have to start a game all over again.

Fwiw, after a lot of finagling with my console’s internet connection I DID manage to grab one of my households from the library (no idea if that’s it fixed or if I just got lucky once, I’ll try again in the morning), but for some reason the contents of my library were arranged in reverse order, with the default Maxis assets at the top and all the stuff I’d actually made way way down at the bottom, so that had me really worried that I’d lost it all for a hot minute haha orz. I really hope you manage to get your stuff back as well, it’s not a fun time :(

I'm really sorry I didn't see your reply until now!

Google says to do a resync of the packs on the Xbox in the hope my hairstyles / wallpapers and flooring comes back, which I will try.

It's just annoying that the game since this update with the market place has become unplayable for me and it's so disappointing. Is it possible that EA have really taken away the wallpapers / flooring and hair styles? There's this one hair style, it's shoulder length hair with a little plait at the side.

Some of the growing together clothes have disappeared as well. It just said I never bought it and can't sync. I was a bit like ??? I have bought it and according to that market place thing, it's been downloaded twice..?
