Honestly, the world SHOULD revolve around children. Everything should be meant to improve their chances at living fulfilling, healthy, educated lives. I don't want to have kids, I don't even like spending time with kids. But kids are literally the future, and that's incredibly important.
That being said, sometimes the lesson the kid needs to learn is that you don't always get what you want. Life isn't always fair, and you need to learn to deal with that. This man shouldn't have gone viral. Sure, he could have done the kind thing and gave the kid a memory they wouldn't forget. He could have taught her the value of kindness and reaching out when a stranger is feeling let down. But she can learn that lesson another day.
They were in line. The ride operator said, this person is the last person because the ride is closing. It wasn't fault, it was just the quirks of time and position.
Life is unfair in a general sense, not a directed sense. I don't understand how you can't understand this VERY common saying and how it very clearly applies in this instance.
It's not really a fault situation. Sometimes you don't get somewhere in time. Sometimes you do but their is a problem that stands in the way. Sometimes you are in line but the ride closes before you can get on. Sometimes life is just unfair in relation to your hopes and expectations.
