Ask❓ Help a 17-Year-Old Polio Survivor in Somalia Gain Mobility
I’m currently in Xamar. I met a 17-year-old boy who contracted polio as an infant when he started crawling. The disease left one leg severely paralyzed and deformed, while his other leg remains functional. Because his family lives in extreme poverty, he has never had access to a wheelchair or specialized vehicle, relying entirely on basic crutches his whole life. This places immense physical strain on his functional leg and severely limits his independence.
I want to see if members of this community would be willing to chip in so we can buy him a 4-wheeled motorcycle to give him true mobility. Alternatively, if anyone knows of active non-profits or charities operating in Somalia that could assist with equipment or support, please let me know. Any advice or willingness to help would mean the world to him.

It’d be good if you could introduce us to the young man, maybe record a video together.
If we see him, his family and his living conditions, maybe we can help beyond a wheelchair.
It’s also good to let people see who they’re actually helping.
I’ll be making dua inshallah, may Allah ease his and his families affairs.

I can record a video and post it here, but I won’t be in it as I’m a critic of you know who. Can’t be blacklisted now.

😂 100%, I wouldn’t expect you to be in it physically, but def to document everything and to be transparent. I’m certainly not doubting your intentions but you know yourself how insane this dunya is
