Which supermoto should I buy?

I tried to take into account the cost of buying rims and legalizing the models that need it but at the same time keep it simple. Feel free to suggest additions/fixes

Edit: i've edited this a lot

Edit: changed the DRZ picture to mine ;) thanks for the sticky!

Can you go off-road with supermoto tyres?

Upvotes

I think supermotos look so cool, but can you go off-road with them?

I like to go riding in the forests now and then, I can't do that anymore if I have my supermotos?

I own a ultra Bee btw.

Wheelies with Mx boots help

I recently got a dirtbike and am now selling it for a drz4s dual sport. I learned to wheelie on my surron with a handbrake before selling it so I am comfortable being back in the balance point (I’ve gone past 12 on it). I feel I could wheelie a footbrake with shoes on but I don’t want to wear shoes as I like having working ankles in case I crash plus i hop on the trails all the time. I have some cheap fox Mx boots but I can’t bring myself to get back into the balance point as I feel like I will push the brake way too hard because of the limited feel and fly over the front of the bike. And it’s hard not being able to just move my ankle.
Any tips and advice would help
Thanks

Does anyone know a good shop in the South Florida region to work on a Husqvarna TE511 Supermoto? Would need tires, breaks, overall checkup and probably valve adjustments.

690/700/701 guys

I have a 2022 husky 701 sm with a slip on, intake, tune, fuel dongle. I’m just curious about some characteristics and want to know what’s the normal thing.

At idle, do any of you guys feel like the throttle response is delayed?

How easy is it to wheelie in 3rd? Like can you just power it up without body movement? Does is require a clutch up?

FE501s Supermoto

Hey everyone, I’m gearing up to take my 2024 FE 501 S to the kart track for my first on track supermoto rip, and I’m super stoked! Right now, the only major upgrade I’ve done is the 320mm oversized front rotor from the Warp 9 package and (taco moto) engine tuning / desmog. Brakes and suspension wise it’s mostly stock. I’m also running ContiAttack SM2 tires, which are super sticky. I’ve done a good amount of aggressive canyon riding with sport bikes and understand the dynamics of the bike in its stock form.

What I’m wondering is, what kind of limitations should I expect on track days or in aggressive canyon riding? At a minimum, what upgrades would you recommend next. Think, suspension, brakes (moto master / radial caliper adaptor), or anything else to make it safer and more capable? I’d love to hear from others who have tracked this bike or have experience with similar setups. Thanks in advance!

Also interested in thoughts about just getting a dedicated FS450 for track use.

Currently located in Northern California. (Pic is Highway 1 North of Big Sur).

Buying a husqvarna 701 with 40k km (25k miles) from 2023

Hey everyone!

I'm planning to buy a husqvarna 701 with 40k km from 2023 which looks decent apart for some scratches here and there and some rust in the wheels and the exhaust header.

It runs good, sounds good, transmission is good. I don't know if 40k km in such a short period is not a bad indicator or not, and I know that it has been ridden by a teenager and stuff pulling some wheelies sometimes.

Should I stay away?

Would like your input

Thank you!

Has anyone in this group had a crazy idea of swapping a CP2 into a super moto? If so are there any pictures... I am contemplating building a Frankenstein bike.

Tuning options Beta RR50

LG

It's a KTM 450 EXC-F 2024 with 40 KILOMETERS (under 1 hours) on the clock. It's on a supermoto set, the seller crashed it broke his leg and stopped riding it.

Here are some pictures that show the damage to the bike

Buying KTM 660 in 2026?

So, long story short, a long time supermoto rider here. After immigration moved to street bikes as they're much more practical for everyday use. Now I want to get back into proper wild sumo bikes. I have had Husqy SMR 570 before, so I have no fear about kickstart no-battery stuff, carb tuning or oil changes for every 10 hours. But are they still round there alive? Like the newest I can find is 2007, any chances they're still running and maintainable?

THERE IS NO SPARK KTM SMC 625 2006

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could help me with my KTM. It stopped producing a spark a while back; I replaced the pickup coil (and other parts), and it did spark and start up, though it was running poorly. When we tried to fix the running issues, it stopped sparking again. We tested the pickup coil externally and it works fine, but once installed back on the bike, there’s no spark. I can't seem to find the fault—do you have any idea what else it could be? I also replaced the CDI with a brand-new, genuine 2022 unit. If anyone has experienced something similar, I’d really appreciate the help.

CR125 SM Conversion

How would I go about converting a 2001 Honda CR125 to a supermoto so that I can ride it on an A1 license.

I'm not too bothered about the maintenance as I'm more than capable of maintaining it, and would only use it on weekends anyway.

But is it possible to make it legal for an A1 license in the UK, or at least say it's legal by law?

Should i buy this broken SM 125?

Hello guys,
im in a dillema, i really want a supermoto and i found one, its a Husqvarna SM 125 2003 2t, but the problem is the seller said that the cylinder head is broken look at the whole description:

I am selling a 2003 Husqvarna SM 125, registered for a full year. Everything on the engine is new—piston, cylinder, crankshaft, main bearings, oil seals, and gasket set. After the rebuild, the engine was test-run, but it is forcing compression into the radiator; the cylinder head is cracked (the crack is visible). The engine starts, but it cannot be ridden because it spits out coolant. The previous owner deceived me by not mentioning this; I wouldn't have invested so much money, and now I’m fed up with the whole thing, which is why I’m selling it. A new cylinder head is needed (it’s a 5-bolt mount). I have the old parts available for inspection. Otherwise, the bike is in excellent, original condition.

And now im in a dillema cause he is listing it for 1750€ and thats quite a lot for a broken bike, the price could prob be brought down to like 1500€ but the problem is the bike is quite far away from me i have to drive for 4 hours to see it in person and check it out. On the marketplace that im in working husqvarna sm 125 are going for 3850€ minimum, so thats a no go to buy a working one. I will be fixing it myself so thats not a problem for mechanic hours, but i was wondering if anything else is broken the piston or something how rare are the parts in europe, cause i dont want to be buying a used bike and not find the parts anyway.

My question is do yall think i should just buy a good 4t instead like a WR 125X or XT125X.

Sorry for bad english but here are the provided pictures for the bike
Thanks in advance

2nd O2 sensor on Euro 5+ (Aprilla sx 125) with Arrow slip on

The Arrow manual for the SX 125 says to leave the second O2 sensor unplugged. I am worried this will trigger a check engine light or cause issues with the ECU on my euro5+ bike.
Has anyone run this setup with the sensor unplugged, or is welding an M12 bung for the sensor the better option? Looking for experiences with similar setups.
