The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is the agency that is responsible for anti-corruption investigations in Hong Kong. While corruption is mostly a white-collar crime, sometimes they may have to deal with dangerous criminals such as gangsters and corrupt law enforcement officers, as a result, the ICAC always maintained a firearms unit. It is a part-time unit and would be called out if operations involved drugs, prostitution, gangs, witness protection, arresting violent suspects, serving high-risk warrants and prisoner escort.

The full kit consists of a MP5 (wiki lists it as MP5SFA3 but I seem to see A5 markings on this picture), Glock 19 Gen3/4, a level 3a vest. Pepper spray and ASP 16 inch stainless steel batons are also available.

In its 52 years of history, no ICAC officer has ever fired their weapons outside of training. As a result, ICAC firearms were nicknamed as "The Guns of Kindness", a term derived from the Stephen Chow movie "Fight Back to School".

Had an old PASGT helmet and decided I wanted to try to convert it to a more modern high cut. It’s not super pretty but I at least have a more functional ballistic helmet so I can larp around the house now 👀😂

Breakdown:

Vest is a jpc 2
R cummerbund, NAR Eagle IFAK for the larp and I like the style, side plate, blue force gear elastic pouch also for the larp but it’s pretty handy carrying junk.
L cummerbund, 2 Amazon brand magazine pouches for ammo and other things I want for an MSW and side plate
Front plate bag, onward research special placard, pretty useful and I like the look and feel of it, Amazon brand dangler pouch underneath to carry more junk.
Rear plate bag, slick, I have extra stuff I like to throw there if I need them like Mini Maps and a cheap aftermarket back panel, Roll 1 dangler medical pouch, extra booboo stuff never hurt anyone

R to L I have a safariland holster for my Glock, TQ posted vertically to minimize space, multitool TYR pouch, replica old school Crye magazine pouch for water bottles and things, karabiner, TYR happy mag rifle pouch and a Blue force gear dump pouch molle’d on, and the very front is a standard TYR happy mag pistol pouch.

I love my gear some of this has been with me for years and it runs with no issues. Looking forward to make another post in 3-4 months with new kit. 👊

I usually run the back slick. I have Banger and MAP panels for whenever I make friends.

I believe fastex is the best, easily replaceable, every uneducated person understands how to operate it unlike other options that seems simple like cobra, first spear style tubes or a wire pull style like CPC or other carriers from ars arma. On this specific modified crye precision AVS there are 4 woojin fastex allowing the complete removal of the front plate bag, additionally it allows removal when in unconventional positions. Opinion on this matter?

I do have peltor comtac 5’s to take place of the walkers ive just been lazy on swapping them out. Rifles are 11.5 and 16. Kinda depends on what im doing for the use i guess. New to the kit world

I've been trying to get my buddy into tactical stuff, so I gave him some older things I wasn't using anymore. I actually quite like how his kit has turned out, the Eagle Industries H harness over M81 IBA combo goes quite hard.

Prior to the 1980s, HKP detectives have to purchase their own gear. The holster and loop holders can cost a quarter or even more of their monthly salary. In addition to that, it was also common for them to get a tailor-made hunting jacket to conceal the revolver which can eat up another large chunk of their pay.

My idea of a patrol kit for conducting operations out of a PB where contact isn’t likely or is something we’re actively trying to avoid. I don’t get to do a lot of actual work with just my rig, so I’m gonna see how well this setup works throughout the week.

They don't look like MICH 2001

I have some stryke pants 30x36 they are the best fitting pair of pants that i own due to the fancy elastic waist and cut but i want more options now because everyone is saying the quality is going downhill so its worth it to get another brand. The other pants that worked ok are LAPG Men's Core Cargo 6 Pocket Tactical Pant 32x36, they fit good enough with the elastic waist but they wore out after like a year or two and aren't too comfortable for all day.

For most pants i normally have to get 32x36 so i can get enough movement room but i hate having to wear a belt each time i wear pants or shorts.

Is there any other brands of pants that would fit me? I will kill for some jeans that fit without a belt too.(i have tried every brand under the sun i feel like)

Hey yall looking for suggestions to upgrade my kit. It’s all issued gear at the moment, pretty basic shit. Kind of sucks. Uncomfortable and bulky. Looking for comfort and usability upgrades I guess. Any suggestions are appreciated (old pic, I’ve since swapped out the sustainability pouch for the issued camelback pouch but it lowk sucks)

Also should be mentioned I’m active duty so no permanent mods as all this shit has to be turned back in. And my command mandated side SAPI plates.
