Jackie bought the house?!!!!!! 😡😡😡😡 Spoiler

I guess what angers me the most is the fact that there's people out there petty enough to pull that off just for a win and then tell themselves they did for their family

just started watched crash (s01e05) i dont understand the framing

im confused on this episode. are there actual psychopaths out there that think that a choice between forcing a cheater covering up negligent manslaughter to come clean where all the people that trusted her are made aware of her untrustworthiness and not allowing people to live in delusion is somehow a difficult decision? it seems to be framed like a moral quandary and I cannot wrap my head around how that could possibly be the case.

Affidavit?

Rewatching the good wife (second time) and on this watch I am trying to learn a bit more of the American legal system to understand better the show (I'm not american)

I just watched S2-E4 - Cleaning house (great episode about the rave trampling) and I wanted to ask about the Affidavit that Alicia brings to court.

Is that how it really works? You just need one witness and you can get an affidavit that the person consented? (In this case to have a witness added)

I don't have many enemies in life. I get along with Republicans, Protestants, Catholics, even a few reporters. But the one thing I hate is AMATEURS...

From now on I'll try to restrain myself whenever I see a star on the show but c'mon.... This is sooo exciting. I feel like I'm watching for the first time

Also, a quick note... I know Alicia goes down a dark path along the show but so far up until halfway S3 she was nice enough and a decent mentor

Alicia after the win. Spoiler

Did she become more annoying to everyone after she won? Like this lady was all ego and I’m better than all of you to everyone who helped her win.

I get that she does not want to make the same mistakes as Peter but the way she went about it was absolutely ridiculous and I’m assuming that’s why she ends up as a scapegoat?

This show is so crazy, I think it would have been better if it would have gotten Peter and her back together but with her having more power over him, than what they did with her character and the political campaign.

thoughts

I haven’t finished the series I am on season 7 but I have some thoughts. The earlier seasons I really couldn’t get myself to stop watching but after season 5 I find myself getting annoyed cause it seems repetitive.
What was the point in Cary and Alicia going on their own just to end up back where they left with Diane in charge. Then To David and Diane, Cary is just there doesn’t seem like he has been in charge. It basically ends up where Will was just replaced Cary.
Like I understand Alicia needed help with Cary’s defense and they needed money but was it necessary to combine back up. What happened to the original office space I know they were stalled but were they just out the money they put in for it cause they never used it.

This show had SO MANY good side-character, in many respects they were more interesting than the main characters!
Who are your top three?
Mine are:
1. Eli Gold
2. Colin Sweeney
3. Elsbeth Tacioni

Those really just stile every scene they were in, leaving no room for anyone else to shine!

Did Melissa George feel out of place in The Good Wife?

Surely I'm not the only one that thought Melissa George felt really out of place when they introduced her character, she was, kinda, like too actress / model beautiful, specially for a "ethics counsel".

Fun fact I only realised recently she was in Mulholland Drive.

Also also, holy crap she's beautiful!

Does the wine pouring drive anyone else up the wall?

Never had a problem with this sound in my life until this show. I love TGW.

But every time she pours a drink from like Season 4 onwards I want to throw it away (and increasingly send her to therapy for pre-addiction counselling).

I get that they're doing it intentionally but it's so aggravating to me. Still not remotely annoying irl.

Anyone else feel this way?

"And The Law Won" Season 4 Episode 2

I really dislike the main case in this episode - the young guy getting shocked to death by police. First - what is this new age practice with jury members writing questions on slips of paper like a pre-digital era witch trial? And why didn't this practice make a return in any future episode - did the show producers recognize that it's just that ridiculous?

Secondly, I love Kalinda. She saves the day more times than we can reasonably count. But did the legal team really need Kalinda to figure out that the "potential aggressors" in the protest were getting marked with red stickers? Weren't the lawyers watching that protest continue to occur daily as they trudged through it on the way to their lawyer business? They shouldn't have needed to wait on Kalinda to figure that part out.

Third, when Will "redirects" the fiancee-turned-ex-fiancee because someone on the jury noticed she took off her engagement ring - are you kidding me? He's acting like he was banned from court for 6 years, not 6 months. It's painfully awkward. And the missing ring *in the camera footage from the protest* is something else the legal team should have noticed even before Kalinda got there.

Finally - the worst part. Lionel Deerfield. This jerk *acts* like he's "the good guy," calling Will up in Season 3 to give him a heads up about his suspension. Then he turns right around in this episode, and helps the police cover up evidence to avoid paying a wrongful death suit? He's the one who should get a suspension after that.

OMG… WILL

SPOILER ALERT…. If you’re still watching for 1st time- read no further.

I just started TGW about a month ago & I’ve made it to Season 5 episode 15- and I’m so in my feelings; like actual tears. And the timing- they found the link with the paramedic to help JG’s case and he flips out like that in court at the turn around?!? I just don’t even have words… 💔

I got to the part where Kalinda and Diane find him in the ER on the gurney and I had to stop for a minute to process. Just wow. I’m really going to miss Will. 😭

Question about Alicia’s Book Spoiler

Wasn’t there a ghost writer who was helping her write a book? I don’t remember if it was before or after the states attorney thing but it just seems like that storyline evaporated

Why would Alicia confide in David Lee for the legal aspect of the separation?

Sure, he's good at family law. But he's just so slimy I wouldn't even tell him the time of day.
