Trav vs Yeat
They are two of my most listened artists, so I feel like I can speak on this pretty objectively:
1) Quantity Vs Quality- Yeat has dropped so many more bad songs and bad albums. Every Trav solo album has less skips than Yeats best albums because all his albums are 22+ tracks long and have way less variety song to song than Travis does.

2) Trav heavily influenced Yeat. 2093, AfterLyfe, and ADL especially sound heavily inspired by Travis. So you gotta give points to Trav for doing it first. The sonic world building that 2093 is famous for, is something that rodeo and Astro did first 6-9 years before 2093.

3) Yeat has more personality than Trav - Travs albums are all extremely fine tuned sonically but Yeat has more memorable bars. He has a small dictionary of made up words that are common knowledge to his fanbase. His vocals and delivery are also much more varied and strange than Trav usually goes.

4) Yeat is also more experimental sonically. Listen to an album like AfterLyfe and just hear the amount of strange and unique ideas Yeat tries out. The variety, amount of adlibs and vocal layering is much higher than the typical Travis song. And they are far less radio friendly than Travis’s music.

5) Trav has much better features-
But they sometimes carry the album, whereas Yeat is often the best when he’s on his own. One reason Travis’s songs feel less repetitive is because he has way more industry connections. His albums have a long list of top of the line artists as features that add a ton to the album. Whereas for Yeat albums, you could remove the features and it wouldn’t matter much.

6) they both reinvent their sound every album. 2021 and forward, Yeat has drastically changed his sound every single album. They all have a distinct artistic direction. And Travis’s solo albums also obviously have this quality. But I will say Yeat is one of the few from the younger generation and also from the trap / rage scene to really explore a whole new sound each album.

Overall I think Rodeo and Astroworld are better albums than any album Yeat has made up until this point.

But I listen to Yeat more nowadays because 1) he drops way more often and still brings a ton of new ideas with each album. 2) he’s somewhat evolved Travis’s original sound, having more adlibs, more variety in his vocal delivery. Lowkey since Utopia it appears like Travis is somewhat running out of ideas. Even on jackboys 2 the song contest had a beat that could’ve come straight off of 2alive.
Whereas Yeat will be dropping all new snippets and a completely new visual style just a few months after his previous solo album released. I think Yeat is capable of dropping an album that is on par with Rodeo or Astroworld, but he hasn’t done it yet.
