I’m looking at tufts and thinking I’m going to ED1. However, at most other schools I’m pretty certain I would want to major in neuroscience, but tufts doesn’t have that option. I’m curious if anyone could tell me more about either of these two majors, how similar and different they are, and if anyone here was interested in neuroscience and which path they went down.

So with there being a virtual option for Voices of Tufts, does that just mean everyone that didn't get in to the in-person event, got into virtual? Like was anyone turned down? Just trying to understand what it means.

I know the BIO 13 textbook is optional, but it is recommended, and it's pretty expensive. For anyone who's taken BIO 13, did you feel like the textbook was particularly useful for the class/exams, or were the lectures, notes, and other course materials enough? Also, if you did use the textbook, did you find a cheaper way to access it? Just trying to figure out if it's actually worth spending the money

Looking for some advice - I was only able to register for 2 classes as an entering freshman and I am wait-listed for two others. I've emailed and communicated with the professors already.

It looks like registration reopens for all A&S students on 8/31 at 12am. I'm hoping that once registration reopens, I might get off the wait-list. Can someone help explain to me what the process is? Will I receive an email when a spot opens up, be automatically added to the class or some other method?

I'm really worried that I might be starting first day of class on 9/8 with only two classes! I'm planning on attending those two classes that first week so if things do open up I'm not behind but definitely stressing!

People are already forming cliques and being closed off. Is that the usual community environment at Tufts or just a new student thing?
I thought everyone would be interested in getting to know lots of people as a new student, but despite being nice and very comfortable socially, I feel like no one in my pre-o group tries to talk to me or follow up.
Does this get better during o week or when school starts? Any advice?

They said that for those of us who got orgo lecture but not the lab, they'd have a lab slot for us by sometime during the summer but they just never got back to us? I emailed the prof about it like a couple weeks ago and he just said they're still figuring it out. anyone else have any updates?

I’m starting at tufts next week as a freshman and am trying to get a job. I’d like to make some spending money, and my parents are also pretty adamant about me getting a job.

I tried looking online but there weren’t really any options for a freshman. I’m also open to working off campus at like a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s but I’m not sure how feasible that is with school, especially as a first year student.

I’m interested in IR and political science so it could be interesting to do something in that field. But also like anything else around campus could be nice!

Any suggestions? I’d be really grateful for the help!

I checked the campus parking map and the closest was the lower campus garage, which is still pretty far, considering I have tons of bags to move? are there movers who help, or could I park closer to the dorm?

Hi! I’m an international student considering applying to Tufts ED this year and I would need ~100% of my demonstrated financial need to be covered.

I’ve heard from quite a few people that Tufts can be difficult when it comes to financial aid for internationals, or that the amount of funding available is relatively limited (especially in recent years) However I couldn’t find much specific info about this

Does anyone know how true this is in practice? Especially for international students with very high financial need. is applying ED to Tufts realistic, or can needing almost full aid significantly hurt your chances? Thanks

Im a incoming freshman i got assigned to a double in richardson. Does anyone know how the storage is in the rooms. Should I bring some drawer for under bed storage or are they provided

Moving in for Pre-Orientation this Friday, but my mattress topper did not arrive in the correct size. So I am ordering a mattress topper on Amazon through Prime. It can arrive earliest on August 28th, the day of my move in, if I have it delivered to Medford. If I have it delivered to my home, it’s arriving days later than that unfortunately.

The issue is that I don’t know where to address my package to. I saw online on the Tufts website that you have to put your unique code for deliveries or that there’s an Amazon locker named “Run.”

But I’m confused on how to input that into the format given by Amazon. Like where do I input the unique code and everything else? I don’t see a pick-up option that I can navigate to for the Amazon locker named “Run” either.

Do I also have to let the school know that I’m having a package delivered?

Does Carmichael have any single-use bathrooms? I’ve only heard that there are communal bathrooms there, but I was wondering if that is the only type in the building.

Which freshman dorms do actually have single-use bathrooms? I know that they’re pretty rare to come by for first-year housing.

anyone majoring in econ: how hard is it to maintain a good GPA? also, specifically, anyone majoring in econ and going into law school, is it manageable to get good grades for top law schools? my main concern is econ being too difficult to get a 3.8-4.0 gpa in and then not being able to get into good law schools.
