Microwaves on campus
Guys I’m a commute student and I’m kinda struggling to find microwaves on campus. May I ask where can I heat-up my lunch?

I'm Australian Engineering / Commerce Student from Melbourne potentially coming for a semester in Fall 27 would I be able to rush frats and try to join or am I ineligible? And also do I even have a chance being an exchange student only coming for one semester? Thanks for any advice

Hi I recently got an opportunity to do PhD at UNL in agronomy & horticulture department. I was looking through websites and some of the person posted at LinkedIn saying students have to pay extra $1600in each semester even though they are provided with assistantships, any thoughts?

Hi all, I graduated back in 2019 and in the years since, haven’t been able to find a recipe for lemon bars that taste/feel quite like the ones from the dining halls. I miss them dearly. Does anybody know a recipe that makes a convincing dupe, or have inside knowledge as to how the UNL lemon bars are made? Thanks in advance!

I’m an upcoming freshmen at UNL and I chose the Unlimited Meal Plan. I was wondering what kind of food there even is. (I was also wondering if there are coffee bars, specifically in Cather)

Trying to afford UNL as an Iowa resident — any way around out-of-state tuition?
I’m doing one year at MCC and planning to transfer to UNL in Fall 2027 for Mechanical Engineering. UNL is basically my closest realistic option for the degree, but out-of-state tuition is around $900+ per credit, which I just can’t afford.
I live in Iowa and thought about moving to Nebraska to establish residency, but I’m 17 right now and don’t turn 18 until December, so I’m not sure I’d be able to establish residency in time.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Are there any reciprocity programs, tuition waivers, scholarships, residency exceptions, or other ways to get the cost closer to in-state tuition?

I feel embarrassed asking this, but I'm a big gal. I walked around to find where my classes will be next week, and in the lecture hall for my psych class, the table doesn't sit flat because of my belly. It looks like all of them, when down, are only like 15in from the back. How can I adjust these so that I can fit?

Any graduate music students who can help me? So I graduate from a different university this spring with my bachelor's in piano performance, and I've applied to UNL for next fall to do the MM in piano performance. I sent off the audition request form - twice - but never heard back from the piano faculty or even got a confirmation email. It said I should've gotten a confirmation email. Am I doing something wrong? Could it be because I sent the form over Christmas break? I know this probably won't get an answer because music isn't a commonly-chosen program at most universities, but I'm hoping there's someone who can help me. How did you do it, and how long was it till you heard back?
Edit: Heard back from the school. I'm traveling to Lincoln this weekend to audition! Feeling uncertain due to the budget cuts, but also very excited. Wish me luck 🤞
Edit 2: Just had my audition today. Messed up a few times, but went better than I expected. Thank you for your help, everyone!

I’ve noticed these other items show up but I’ve always just decided to use swipes and dining dollars instead. Has anyone tried them and know what they do?

Hello! I’m a Lincoln native who is considering applying to a graduate program at UNL. I love English Literature and was thinking of applying to UNL’s English MA program. However, I know grad school can be hit or miss when it comes to practicality. If there’s anyone who has completed this program, what are your thoughts on it? Was it worth it? Did you feel like you grew as a literature students? Also, I really like a close-reading approach to literature, which I know is not preferred everywhere. Does UNL focus on close readings, critical lenses, or some other schema for understanding literature? Just curious! Any info is very appreciated! Thanks so much!
