I watch Vaush almost 6 years.
The writing is on the wall. It gonna be bad and i try to prepare myself.
Of course lately I'm not as optimistic as i used to but i bought some rice and beans and i have solar panels in my block of flats good enough to recharge my phones, use rice cooker and play PS3.
We are most likely near absolute fucking disaster and i'm ready. I have fun annoting me +/- 3000 neighbours with flyers i plater over their entrances to block of flats with "enfriend yiur neighbours, stock on food and water and clothes, take care of each other", it may not be as bad (i'm Polish) but i do want people from my community to be somewhat prepared.
The world is fucked so instead of frying about Vaush being doomer, i take the shit into my own hands AS MUCH AS I CAN.
And it makes me feel better. I am the last liberal in the world.
Y'all are reactionaries 😤😤😤

With our favorite streamer out of action for what I'm guessing is going to be like 2-3 weeks, what's everyone else been watching? I've just kind of been surfing the algorithm to see what's out there. There's a few people I know I like, but I'm not super familiar with every streamer and while poking around I just watched something so dumb I had to come see what everyone else is doing. I just need some someone talking sense for like 3 hours when I'm killing the slow time during my days, but I'm not sure my psyche can handle risking another brain dead take like the one I just hate watched.

I’ve noticed I’ve been hearing a lot of “The consequences of this decision could potentially impact… billions of people” “Apocalyptic” “Guys, you’re asking what do we do about it - this is just how it is now.” “And it’s only gonna get worse” “If I found out Republicans were doing (this) on oil, I would start mortaring up bricks” and I can’t help but wonder if it’s just the cowardice of our intellectuals and institutions that aren’t talking like this or if it’s just Vaush exaggerating things for engagement.
Like i get it, we're all going to die omnisegment blah blah. But when every video on the main channel is how fucked we are, it doesn't have any practical value for how to do what we can to slow or mitigate the collapse. Am i the only one who thinks that?

Hi, I would like to introduce my friend to vaush, but he is not interested in news coverage. He is more in to debates, but he watches only destiny clips. Thats why I would like to expose him to more critical and useful stuff that vaush had been doing. However, I don’t know what videos I should recommend him to start with. Does anybody have some kind of “Vaush’s best debates” playlist? Thanks

I thought they were disastrous. With exceptions, key arguments were either straight up bad or poorly backed up and only make sense to people who already understand socialist politics, which is an issue considering the whole point of the interviews is to convince liberals of DSA viewpoints. I have no idea why they thought sending her was a good idea, she comes off as naive and underprepared for liberal criticism as though she only spends time around other DSA people who already agree with her. Curious if Vaush covered it and if so can u link it
Like a lot of you, one thing I appreciate about Vwauooosh is how he is able to argue very effectively. Better in fact than probably big leftists I can think of. A problem that I sometimes run into is that, while progressive positions usually win in legit debates because reality is on our side, reality is also complicated. And much like Viwaoosh I'm starting to see people more and more as slobbering, sub-human chattel. So when the subject of trans people comes up, and I try to inform them about it, by the time I finish saying "There is a difference between gender and sex" they're gone and checked out from the conversation.
Like whenever I argued about gay people, I could just go "Okay. You know the feelings you have about women? Imagine you had those for men and there was nothing you could do about it. That's what being gay is like. For them it's just as normal as you liking women. Why is that an indication of immorality?" And most people could put themselves in that position mentally. Which isn't something I find you can do with trans people, at least not as easily.
I wanted to compose a list of helpful responses that I can keep in the backpocket for when these come up. If I was speaking to a normie, what do you think are some correct, but simple and effective answers to the following talking points? (Most of these are lines I have encountered either in person or online)
"What is a woman?"
"Seeing men compete in women's sports just seems like men beating up women. That's not right to me."
"I'm fine with trans people. Be whoever you want. But don't touch the kids! It's not right to pump kids full of hormones and cut their dicks off!"
"I don't see the problem with JK Rowling. She just doesn't want men in women's spaces."
"Of course cops are afraid when they go into black neighborhoods, they're the most violent!"
"It's good when the governments cuts spending to [insert social service here] because it saves the gov money!"
"Black people are always talking about celebrating black culture and loving black people. What's wrong if I just want to love and celebrate my people's culture?" [Said by a white person]
"Feminists literally hate men. They say "kill all men/hate all men" all the time! Why should I care about them?!"
I could answer all of these, but it would take a few paragraphs. What is a good response that I could use in a couple of sentences to at least plant the seeds of bringing this person over to my side?
Note: I might fight you on your responses, but that will be because I will be imagining how a person unfamiliar with these topics and politics in general might respond.

i’m not against him saying everything is over, because it genuinely is. lmao. but he’s just “rape rape rape, infinite rape,” in every segment. it’s almost the only thing he ever says. am i the only one who finds it weird?

My tire blew out on the parkway. Got to the shoulder, called AAA. State trooper arrives and offers some help, and tells me that the parkway, interstate, and turnpike are all "private roads" with individual contractor tow companies having exclusive rights to tow cars. If an unauthorized company tows a car they will be fined $15,000. This is a law that somehow got passed. As a result I was stuck on the side of the road for 2 hours until an authorized company took the time to come and tow me.
How the FUCK is a parkway or interstate a "private road"? God I hate this fuckass society.

I watch atrioc and vaush so i like the crossover but i think atrioc is a great foil to vaush. Atrioc is pretty smart, and seems borderline liberal-progressive, ie he supported graham platner pretty hard before he had his gamer moment.
However 90% if his commentary is watching a clip of trump saying hes going to bomb a puppy orphanage, laughing, saying “thats crazyy”, then not have any solutions or ways forward. Vaush is 100% on the money that liberals have just given up in this regard.
I feel like a “debate” could be good between them, not to cause infighting or drama but both seem genuinely good faith with disagreements on how they see the world. I think i agree with vaushs analysis more but seeing them talk would be sick

Only really started watching Vaush in the past 6 months. Been as Hasan viewer for 2 or so years. I'm not American, but watching the left surge in the USA gives me hope, even amongst the doom/reality posting as Vaush might say it. Anyway.
The video posted today Apocalypse, Now is probably one of ten or so, at least, about the current El Nino that's forming/formed and getting worse. I had for many years wanted to move to Australia from NZ with my now Husband, to Melbourne specifically. We've visited once. Trams are fucking awesome, public tranports, density, it's better than anything the car centric shit-hole that is NZ has to offer, unless you drive 2 hours to go visit nature, anyway I digress.
It occurred to me while Vaush was reacting to the interview with the climate scientist, that life goal is gone. The climate scientist pointed to Australia for a place to expect droughts and wildfires. It took a minute, but it clicked. Moving to Australia from NZ is no longer an option. Any year that has an El Nino will be shit. Massively shit. Even in Melbourne, the bottom of the country.
I mentioned this to my husband (who has watch Vaush much longer than I ever have) and he also instantly got it.
I don't really know who else to say it to. So many NZers are leaving for 'Straya at the moment for better prospects, but for how long? How long will Australia be able to sustain its population? They could import major solar panels and de-salinate, but that's beside the point. I don't want to go outside in 40 degree c weather.
Anyway. Just. That was food for thought for me, and might for you too.

Disclaimer: I dont watch much Vaush regularly but I've been watching a lot of climate change videos recently so his videos in the topic come up in my page and im aware of the guy, hence why I wanted to post about it.
I'm really just curious on other peoples opinions about how Vaush talks about climate change. My perspective is hes super fear mongering-y and exaggerates to an extreme which makes absolute no sense considering most of his viewer base completely agree with what hes saying. I also fear a lot of his viewers are younger and struggle to deal with the sheer amount of fear and pessimism he says in stream. Tbh I just think it goes beyond being helpful
Anybody else feel like this? or is it just a bit of a meme?

I noticed he did pretty well with views the past few days.
Whenever Vaush pauses streaming, people that would otherwise be watching only the streams tune into the regular videos. This causes their watch time to increase, hence it seems like they get recommended to more people. This also happened in late 2024 when he paused streaming for a while.
Obviously that doesn't mean he should avoid streaming. I just found this pretty interesting.

After what Vaush said on today stream about how the meat industry deregulation I want to cut meat. What are good replacements and other things to get protein

I enjoyed F.D pushing Emp's face into the mud, and I think Vaush would too.
I only saw what F.D went over, not the whole thing.
Good fun, and a slimy shit-stain gutted and filleted for all to see
Also, Noah's facial expressions were pretty funny throughout

Although Vaush is escaping to the EU, he should recognize his identity in the American Century of Humiliation, humble himself, and learn how to speak proper Canadian English.
Other important distinctions;
Poutine is "poo-tsin", not "poo-teen".
We use the Metric system, except for when we use the Imperial system.
There must always be a smug sense of superiority over all things American, even when that superiority objectively doesn't exist. We are simply better regardless of the facts.
These distinctions will be especially important for Vaush to learn when America collapses and we colonize the PNW into Greater British Columbia.

How many canned beans to buy per trip to the store without car?
r/VaushV • u/CraniusChan80085 • 3d ago
Vaush likes to talk about "rent seeking" often and i have a basic idea of what he means by it but i would love if people shared some stuff to read about this like articles, books, essays whatever.

I tried looking for the source of the list of demands Vaush was reading in his video about the failed trade negotiations between the United States and Canada and couldn't find it. This fact-check from The Canadian Press also couldn't find it (https://www.thestar.com/news/fact-file-online-users-claim-to-have-detailed-list-of-last-minute-us-trade-demands/article_1e938e5f-c54f-55d8-ad73-2e57da6d05c8.html). Suffice to say, I don't think it's real.

Ok guys, it's the Redicaldino here.
As you know, I am a zoologist who is currently pursuing my PhD.
All the horse jokes aside, this is unfortunately one of the only good thing this administration is doing, even by accident. Those are not "wild horses," but feral domesticated animals reintroduced into a habitat where they went extinct ten thousand years ago. American Federal horses are essentially invasive species competing with the real native fauna that deserve protection. The only reason why it is illegal to hunt them to begin with is that one dumb white person decided to dedicate her life to bug the federal government so her "precious ponies can be saved! Instead of advocating for anything better. The number of endangered species that are actually under threat under this administration outweighs any feral horses and should be focused on more than some invasive species
