Reading is, pretty famously, not a city, it’s the biggest town in the UK. It has tried to become a city a few times and been turned down.

Reading has tried and failed to become a city so many times that there’s a bunch of local memes about how the royal family have hated the town since the times of Victoria since it’s the monarch that ultimately has the power to make new cities.

Reading and Leeds festivals are the absolute worst examples of a music festival. (They're twin festivals that share most of the same lineup)

4 days of 18 year olds getting trashed and k-holing everywhere.

There are hundreds of music festivals in the UK, and every single one of them is better than Reading and Leeds
