Indiana is the best ship for ranked tier 8 in my opinion. won 14 out 17 games played. GG to everyone I fought against today. What ships are you guys using for ranked?

I got this thing from a Mystic, and it IS pretty fun, only issue is that the shells seem to ricochet and nonpen an inordinate amount compared to other ships of this size and class. I swear my first couple games it was eating BBs alive but now it feels like any given salvo will have like 4 ricochets on what shouldve been an easy broadside kill, whats the deal with this thing?

Not to sound all conspiracy theorist but do high tier carriers get protected from AA spec cruisers? Over a dozen games in an aa spec Worcester and not 1 carrier game. Three games in a row right after in my Montana were carrier games, 1 of which I was targeted and lost over half my health to bombs and torpedo runs over the course of the game. Im not trying to rant about them being ass but id like to know so I can unspec my aa cruisers if its useless 99% of the time anyway.

Unrelated but kinda related, why does it seem like a smaller percentage of carrier damage can be recovered compared to HE spam or DD torpedo hits? I know the DDs torps do more damage but im talking as a percentage of recoverable hp

What ships we thinking? And any strategies?

So, I’m working on Zara now. I really like the ship, especially being a DD mangler with my upgraded SAP shells. And I’ve upgraded everything except for the TORPS so far. But I’m looking at this and wondering… is it REALLY an upgrade? With my commander, the torp range is 13.2 KM. I think that’s the furthest I’ve seen in this game. But to upgrade them, I gain +833 damage and +2 speed (though only up to 53kt) but LOSE 2.2 km on the range! What say you, WOWSL hivemind? Is it worth it?

Coming up on 25k steel and probably going to get Marceau.

Thats crazy, there has to be atleast 1 serious game mode, dont dumb everything down for the lowest percentile players.

I mean I'm not complaining about the rewards, but who won? This is rather confusing 🤣

I take this opportunity to ask, does the one who captures the last position win? Or is it the one who captures the most positions in total?

1- The American ships are the best.

2- In all cases, the brawlers are most fun, the indirects (Burke and Neutrasweet) are also fun, the stealths (Perry and Nana) suck and I hate them.

3- Overall great mode

4- Nanuchka sucks this thing is unplayable. Any other ship (not the perry) can shoot down its homing missiles reliably, yet it cannot stop the homing missiles of any other ship. Crappy cruise missiles and secondary gun. Perry at least has air strikes and torps, and RADAR, and UNLIMITED CLOAKS. Nanucka has 3 cloaks and sucks. And it's SLOW. Seriously what were they even thinking with with thing. Would be balanced if it could shoot 6 homing missiles per salvo.

Recently, I’ve gotten away from the game for a number of reasons whether it’s my kids, work, school etc… As such, I’ve spent more time playing my switch 2 when I find the random pockets of 1 hour free time moments. If this game was on Switch 2, which it most definitely could be considering it plays on older console generations and mobile, and we could transfer save data over, I would be all over this game again. I have a couple hundred hours in it but just can’t find the time to sit at my desk and play anymore. I know it’s been brought up before, but man it would amazing if the devs could port it over!

Let us buy a past campaign for 10,000 doubloons once a year and we need to do all the missions of that campaign to get the ship?
All crap campaigns are generally back for gxp but the good ones are gate kept.

I was playing as a destroyer recently and was only detected by a CVs aircraft yet when in secondary range of said cv it was able to engage me even though I was only detected by its aircraft and not by a ship.

Is this normal or is it an error?

I think it’s garbage that you don’t get a cap assist if you hold a cap for 99% of the time, get killed (while one of your teammates enters the cap) and then your team ultimately takes the cap with no lapse in occupation. If you take the majority of the cap and a teammate enters at the last second, you still get a solo cap award and they get an assist. But if you take 99% of a cap and either die or leave the cap before it’s done, you get nothing. I get if the team leaves and the cap goes unoccupied, but if there’s continual blue occupation and you were most of it, that shoul led count for something.

I am 600 coins shy of 15000. I have done the treasure hunt. Every weekly. All my legendary level ships. Is there any cheap doubloons way to get this done or am I looking at 2500 doubloons to get it. Is this worth spending. I have enough to do this.
