Why don’t more guys get a vasectomy at 18? Why don’t MINDEF subsidise it?

I have only gotten mine done in my 20s, regretted not getting it done earlier. MINDEF should subsidise this procedure and promote it for all guys serving NS. This will help to reduce a lot of unnecessary stress from pregnancy scares and protect the ladies from having to rely on hormonal birth control.

If MINDEF subsidises vasectomies fully, it will help to prevent many unwanted pregnancies.

that’s the opposite of what the government wants lol, they want us to reproduce more

2

u/Federal_Hamster5098 12h ago

at this point the G probably wanted more shotguns.

the spray and pray policy is in full force

-2

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Shotguns bad for taxpayer, import ready made FT taxpayers on fast track PR and citizenship better.

u/Hot-Job-6281 12h ago

If the government had a 10k surgery that makes guys have 100% pregnancy rounds they would subsidise the whole damn thing lmao.

u/tung_tung_tung-sahur 11h ago

gov shld start subsidising mpreg 🫃💓

Providing free vasectomies will help to prevent many people that cannot afford kids from having it.

10

u/kosherjellyfish 13h ago

How is the government going to filter who is not suitable for having kids??

3

u/Hakushakuu 13h ago

Good ol ✨eugenics✨

/s

-2

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Eugenics is a good program that died too early

5

u/MAMBAMENTALITY8-24 12h ago

we got the lky regen, quick vote this man in as the pm

0

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

LKY is a brilliant leader. The grad mother program though unpopular, is a necessary evil for society

1

u/WildRacoons 13h ago

They’ll rather those who can barely “afford” to have more. Who wants a bunch of retirees sitting around? Better to have parents desperate to support their kids working into their twilight years, and children working to support their parents without pension. How else to max GDP

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Import FT and make them do that, spare the locals from the pain.

1

u/WildRacoons 12h ago

Cannot purely depend on non-voters, need a weak working class addicted to the teat of CDC vouchers to keep voting for them

2

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Damn bro, these are the key secrets that you can’t share with the sheeple.

1

u/Nagi-- 12h ago

We're lucky OP did it on his own accord.

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

You’re welcome. I want the money back though.

-1

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

Can self select, just offering it for free, not like asking MINDEF to enforce. If they want then can do for free.

1

u/Serious_Daydreaming 12h ago

My sweet summer child.

They don't fucking care. They literally want anyone to fuck and have kids. There is not such thing as a unwanted child to the government. Have 5 kids, you have no idea how much the government will help you. You think families with 7 kids get buy because the parents earn enough? They get by because the government will pay to support you.

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Not optimal though? They can streamline spending by encouraging local to be sterilised and import foreigners that are screened for certain criteria.

chat is this bait

-19

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

Not bait, I really wanted it for so long, but sadly not free unlike wisdom tooth removal.

5

u/derpymarc 13h ago

Bro why is this your concern? After medisave i only paid $100 TOTAL out of pocket, which for a working adult isn’t an issue at all for an optional surgical procedure. SUS

2

u/Funny_Ad4078 12h ago

Can pm which clinic bro?

-5

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

Because every penny matters to me?! If I could get it for free, aka during NS I would.

13

u/peasants24 13h ago

What is this braindead post? Isnt it too early to decide to get a vasectomy?

-10

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

Nope. Reversible anyways, plus it’s not life threatening even if it’s not reversible. At most they can’t have kids, small issue.

7

u/peasants24 13h ago

'At most they cant have kids, small issue'

💀

-2

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

Ya, small issue being childless. Not life changing.

6

u/Cloud7050 12h ago

By technical definition it is life or even lives-changing

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Not born yet, which is good. No kids they will be happier also.

16

u/VauserVonShepherd 13h ago

Insane bait 💫

3

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

No bait. I’m dead serious.

10

u/hugthispanda 13h ago

Someone took 3 days leave this week.

1

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

No, still on commute.

9

u/BottomHandler 13h ago

Lorens Wong wants more babies, no way this will be subsidised

0

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

Can just import foreign talent. No need for local TFR.

5

u/Dismal-Slide-5038 13h ago

0

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

No, serious questions only. I believe all SG men should be offered that during NS.

1

u/Dismal-Slide-5038 13h ago

Should Redditors all help downvote this 6mo ragebait account together?

-1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

You can, but my views are out of concern for our fellow countrymen.

4

u/AbjectAffect91 13h ago

TFR all time low then want vasectomy what

-1

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

No correlation, bulk of it from foreign import anyway

4

u/FromALilSunnyIsland 13h ago

Hello, TFR already at 0.87… wake up your idea… \s

1

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

TFR no use, importing from our talented neighbours

1

u/Competitive_Ask8114 12h ago

Might as well rename Singapore to south johor bro

0

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Not really, we can still remain the dominant party by only assimilating their best. They will remain our resource center.

4

u/GoforIt7721 13h ago

OP needs a lobotomy

0

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

No, did my vasectomy though.

3

u/Maxtlatli 13h ago

Bbfa strikes again.

1

u/FitPassenger592 13h ago

Not bbfa. Just firmly dink.

3

u/Dthero1 13h ago

someone will post on ns subreddit "how many days HL for vasectomy"

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Maybe offer 28 days to make it more appealing for people to sign up

2

u/Cowbluv 13h ago

Yikes, who hurt you bro?

2

u/Radiant-Scene-5171 12h ago

You're a fucking pussy woman

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

I’m a man, just snipped.

1

u/gearfighter2 13h ago

U fit in the head?

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

PES E, but fit enough for desk work. Anyways this should be covered under NSF benefits.

1

u/gearfighter2 12h ago

Man u sure are thicc in all the wrong places. If you have ideas keep them to yourself cause they ain't good.

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Only thing that’s big is my brain as I can think out of the box and challenge norms

1

u/gearfighter2 12h ago

Cringeworthy and ragebait account. Dont u have a fixie to clown on somewhere?

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

I believe you have gotten it wrong. I really think like this

0

u/gearfighter2 12h ago

Think you can lookup amos yee as your inspiration

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

No thanks, I might be PES E but I have standards. PDF files should get the snip at the neck.

1

u/gearfighter2 12h ago

How is your one defining characteristic of yourself being PES E. it only matters for 2 years lol

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Just saying, since he’s a famous NS evader.

1

u/sequoia___ 13h ago

how much is it. if u can’t even afford the snip snip should u even be having kids. and if it gets reversed do u pay the subsidy back.

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

After subsidies couple of hundreds yes, but could be a perk offered to our NSFs

1

u/sequoia___ 12h ago

doubt they will tho. esp when choosing to go childfree already frees up potential for more savings already.

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Sadly all they care about is to pump up the numbers for the sake of GDP

1

u/CredibleNonsense69 13h ago

Consider yourself lucky that govt hasn't banned operasi potong konek in SG given the wonderful TFR

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

What is that? Need free vasectomies for all NSFs though.

1

u/derpymarc 13h ago

Bait

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

I’m dead serious, did it already.

1

u/YMMV34 13h ago

Dun bullshit this. No doctors will do this as an elective surgery due to your young age due to ethics. Show us some proof

0

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Hence I suggested over 18? That’s why NS is the perfect time.

1

u/Crafty_Clerk_1891 12h ago

Isit fine that i'm thinking you're a Don Juan cassanova with the master key shooting your seed everywhere.

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Safety first, gotta make sure it’s a near zero chance

1

u/Crafty_Clerk_1891 12h ago

Yeap that's what I'm saying.

So is you is or is you ain't?

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Got to stay humble and low profile, can’t kiss and tell

At least entire platoon will be sterile for free, elective also so not like entire platoon disappearing. During MC can still do light duties.

1

u/Cybasura 12h ago

"Why dont more guys want to permanently be unable to give birth just because I did?"

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Lots of freedom and unlimited upside, what is wrong with that?

1

u/Cybasura 12h ago

You...do realise you can already do all that WITHOUT permanently removing that choice, right?

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

What’s wrong with permanently removing the choice? Every day life is still the same being unable to reproduce.

1

u/chinbean 12h ago

I'm glad you did your vasectomy. You shouldn't be reproducing.

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Ya I shouldn’t be reproducing so I got snipped

1

u/Salt-Regular-689 11h ago

Go to your MO and share this post, would probably give you 3 days mc straight up bcs wtf 😭

1

u/FitPassenger592 11h ago

My longest was 84 days..

1

u/cutlikedi4mond 13h ago

anal exist... :) 😜

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

Finally another good suggestion here 🫶🏻

0

u/strawberwies 13h ago

this is a no brainer post, with the declining birth rate and they even give benefits now to babies born out of wedlock.

andd doctors wont let us do it even now we have a 1 kid need to wait til 35, this is private doctors.

1

u/FitPassenger592 12h ago

They should offer for free during NS, actually they should just give up and import more FTs. Same outcome if they get enough FTs in to maintain youth to elderly ratio.
