So me and some friends have started a simple little garage band and we’d like to practice obviously but we don’t wanna lose out hearing in the mean time so I did some research and came to the conclusion that we need an iem. However all this sound tech highly confuses me so I thought I’d come to some pros. Are there any alternatives? And if not, then what all would we need? I don’t really wanna spend more than like 1k, especially since we’d just be practicing for a while before we book a venue. We have two guitarists, using effects processors, valeton gp200 and 100. Bassist with an amp and a drummer. The guitarist and I are both on vocals. Besides having the guitars, amp, drums, and effects processors we have nothing else. No mics, no voice effects, nothing. So assume we’re coming up from nothing with not a lot of money. What would we need for everything?

Seeking good ways to improve our playing as a band within a limited time of 2 hrs spent in a jam studio.

My band sometimes will play the YouTube in the studio to listen to the original version or use the backing track for practice. I mean shouldn't we already know the song before going for practice session isn't it ?

What is a good way to practise as a band in jam studio that can yield results and enable us to be gig- ready ?

Hey everyone I’m currently starting a small three piece band with some friends from my school and the bass player and the drummer aren’t experienced in their instruments (they’re both guitar players but want to play bass and drums) are their any easy beginner songs to help get us jamming together? Preferably rock of some kind.

How do bands find out how to play songs from other bands, I can’t find tutorials how to play together as a band, only the solo parts.

Life is short and there's nothing more that I want in this life than to join a band, play on a gig. But I guess I'm not made for it.

I'm not even mad that no band wants to take me. I admit I am not good enough. If I were them, I wouldn't take myself either.

But it's the constant rejection that I can't take anymore. It ruined me mentally.

If I wanted to get in shape or had a fitness goal and everyday my entire body's aching, then that's all on me. I am the one in control of the situation. No matter how hard the challenges I might face when reaching a personal goal, I am in control.

But a band is not in my control. My fate is in their hands. I can't control what other people want.

Hello im Guille from iLands,I'm with my partner Bethany, we have a band called INSOMNE😵‍💫, WE DO REGGAE, HIP HOP, PUNK/METAL and we are beginning to youtube

My first band almost one year and still jamming and with a name I proudly coined myself. But it doesn't improves. Every jam session , I can't see the members doing their homework. They are always discussing about the structure of the song on the spot, confused when the vox should come in , confused when the guitarist should start playing. I as the bassist am proud that I can play the whole song with a clear structure of the song in mind. The jam just didn't go smoothly.

The recent jam sesh had the drummer still practising the drum pattern of the song played by so many bands. Like why ? Like why cant he just practise at home before coming to studio ?

I can't tell them off, they are my first batch of bandmembers and I am proud that we still stick together to play.

Does your band improves or slowly improves after the many jamming seasons ?

I love singing and I sing a whole bunch of genres. I just don’t know where to start, but I know I have the potential to make it. In the 209 area.
