They bonded immediately (to my surprise) and I just love them and their friendship. We had Winston (Tabby) first and thought he would be jealous when we brought home Lola, but he wouldn’t tolerate the slow introduction we tried and they just loved each other right away.

3 and 6 years old, BFFs.

I've posted our six-year-old littermates Hank and Gus here before, but now they have a little sister.

Sometime last year or the year before a mamma cat had kittens in our condo complex's parking garage. This spring, those kittens were grown up, and the tortoise shell had her own litter in a hole in the wall of our neighbors' patio. Our neighbor was able to scoop up tortie and her kittens right away and take them to the animal shelter.

About three months later, I had some items to donate to the animal shelter, so my wife and I took our two-year old son with us on a Saturday morning as a way to entertain him by letting him look at the animals while I dropped off the donation. They were having their Saturday morning Kitten Adoption Fair, and I saw a little tortoise shell kitten that looked a heck of a lot like the mamma tortie from our garage. I asked what her story was, and the foster mom said that she was found with her siblings in a hole in a wall. She showed me a photo of the two siblings who had already been adopted out as a pair; one was black, which matched mamma tortie's sister, and the other was gray and black striped, which matched a tom cat that I'd seen around our garage. On top of all that coincidence, it was the 10 year anniversary of my wife's and my first date.

So clearly it was fate that brought Zuzu into our family. It barely took a week for Hank and Gus to fully embrace and adopt her, giving her bath time, cuddling, wrestling, and showing her the ropes. She is kind, cuddly, gentle, and affectionate, just like her adoptive older brothers. We're very proud of her for how easily she adapted to joining our family, and we're extremely proud of how our boys have accepted her. Zuzu loves her older brothers, and the feeling is mutual. Here's to more bonded trio posts in the years to come!

My bonded pair had a fracture last week, I believe brought on by strays in my neighborhood coming into my yard. They’re currently completely separated, and have only had a few interactions that haven’t ended in the aggressor hissing and howling. Wondering if anyone else has seen this in their bonded pair and can offer some encouragement on if it ever repaired or not.

They’re both females, around 1 1/2 years, and they’re both spayed with clean bills of health from the vet.

I have feliway diffusers but the agony persists.

My partner's cats are basically a couple.

Glitch is the orange one, Pendle is the fluffy one. Glitch is the most nervous boy I've ever met. Pendle is the most chaotic. They love each other so much.

I got a heartbreaking message from my rescue today.

She told me that she may have to send 8 kitties to a shelter because she has no resources, no available foster homes, and no other rescues able to take them. She was so sad and heartbroken. Our rescue partner has already had to send a few kitties to shelters. 💔 Daisy & Maisy are among the kitties at the MOST risk of being sent to a shelter.

Our rescue is drowning right now. Every foster is already caring for 10+ cats (I am fostering 14), and we are struggling with both space and resources. Other rescues are overwhelmed and full too.

We fosters are helping the rescue as much as possible, but we have limitations now. This is an amazing rescue..one of the best I have ever seen..and I never want to see it shut down. ❤️

And honestly, that’s what breaks my heart the most. 💔 We don’t know what their future would look like in a shelter. If they are adopted from there, we may never know who took them home or where they end up. And if they are returned someday, how would we even know or be able to bring them back?
Our rescue is struggling right now, but I truly believe this is only a difficult chapter, not the end of their story. I just want these babies to have a safe, loving home where we know they are loved and protected forever.

When Daisy & Maisy were only 4 weeks old, their little world was turned upside down. They were found abandoned in storm drains behind a mall..tiny, scared, and alone without their mama. 💔

For two long days, they cried in that frightening place, waiting for someone to hear them. When we learned about them, we knew we couldn’t leave them behind.

Their rescue was an emotional roller coaster. As heavy rain started pouring down, our hearts sank. We searched and called for them, terrified that we had lost them. We felt helpless… until we heard a tiny, weak cry through the rain.

That little voice gave us hope. We searched tirelessly, and finally, they were both safe. 🥹🐾

These little girls had already experienced fear and uncertainty at such a young age. But through everything, they had each other. They became each other’s comfort, strength, and family. ❤️

Now, at 15 weeks old, Daisy & Maisy have blossomed into playful, sweet, loving kittens. Their bond is truly beautiful, and they need a forever home TOGETHER.

We never want to separate them. They survived their hardest days together, and they deserve to spend their happiest days together too. 💔

Please help us find the family who will open their hearts and home to BOTH of these sisters.

Hello! I would like to introduce my babies to this sub. My one year old calico is May Renee. The smaller white kitten is June Kaboom. she’s 4 months old and I got her the day she turned 3 months old. That was about a month and a half ago. I was hesitant to get a second cat because May because May doesn’t like sharing. She also loved me a lot. I have been very worried about May being bored and lonely. About 4 months ago my marriage fell apart and my husband moved out 3 months ago. It’s been incredibly hard on me as I was very much in love with him. With the timing of everything I really feel like getting June was meant to happen. When naming May, we just started calling her different names and see what stuck. Getting a cat was my idea and I always cared about her more. Naming her May was my husband’s idea. He knows that was my grandmother’s middle name who passed away. Renee is my middle name. We don’t have kids. We thought that was a great flow. So getting a second cat, naturally I thought June would be a great name. I wanted to het to have a middle name that flows like May Renee. Kaboom rhymes and I thought it was fitting because I got her after my life went Kaboom. I got both May and June from two different coworkers/friends. These two are my world. It took about 3 weeks for them to be friends. When they first cuddled I was so happy I cried and I told May and June thank you. I never pictured that at this age (I turn 30 in a little over a month) I’d be a single crazy cat lady. Honestly tho just taking care of them is a lot more peaceful than when I was in my marriage. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I may cross post this into other cat subs. I hope these adorable pictures of my creatures brings joy to those that view it. My two boy cats (around 5 - 6 years old). They come from the same cat shelter but were adopted at different times and had never met before. Safe to say they were a match made in heaven!
