Bisc has had a nasty tail pocket infection for about a year and it spread to her leg, and she finally found a medication that works!! Im so happy.
The vets said if she got worse she would likely have to be euthanised due to her age and condition but my baby is finally recovering!!

Mine treats it like her living room, and naps heavily as if dogs and people weren’t running around her the whole time.

I was just mentioning to my son that my bulldogs are so heavy now that I (almost 60 yrs old, Female) can no longer lift them to get them into my Jeep for car rides. I need a dog ramp thats heavy duty enough to hold their weight, but still light enough for me to set up. Recommendations?

Hi everyone, my latest foster is a 5/6 year old bulldog, absolutely beautiful girl, can’t understand why people aren’t fighting over her! (And I’m saying that as a non bulldog person, always love their personalities - hate what we’ve made them into!)
I’m experienced in dogs in general, long way from being my first foster/adoption and I’ve dealt with an awful lot of issues
However, as my first building & brachy - although I know general stuff, thought it would be beneficial to reach out to people who know a damn sight more than myself in this area! (The rescue I foster for is incredible, always available for advice etc but not bulldog specific, more large/difficult breeds and I don’t want them to think I’m crap and take her away 😂)
She’s with me until her absolute perfect, genuinely forever home comes along, however long that takes so I want to do everything right & get her set up properly
Firstly - diet, what is everyone feeding? I’m at least her third placement in under a month and has been on a variety, all of which she’s done fine with but I want to get her on the most beneficial. I’ve never fed a breed specific diet for example but I’ve been doing a lot of research & seems the bulldog food may be a good way to go? (Not just reading the advertising! But bulldog sites, third party vet recommended review sites etc). I would prefer to avoid raw unless it becomes essential
Secondly - creases, when she arrived they were a bit mucky, she’s 3 deep ones, the nose crease and one from each eye. I’m wiping with hibiscrub (diluted!), followed by fresh, clean, cooled boiled water and then drying. Is there anything recommended I can do better? Any kind of barrier cream etc? Or just stick with what I’m doing? One of them that was quite crusty does look a little sore underneath, not very level (or we’d have been!) if daily maintenance is best/only that’s fine but if there’s anything I can do in addition to prevent any soreness/issues I’d love to
Anything else you think I should know/wish you knew?
Sorry for lack of pictures! I’m not sure what the policy is on it & I also don’t want to lose my little corner of anonymity 😂
But trust me-she’s beautiful!
Apologies if you see this more than once, posting on a couple subs to make sure I get as much help as possible because she deserves the world!
