I wanted a ps5 mostly for GTA 6 but also because my ps4 is struggling to stay alive. I didn't wanna spend a ton on a brand new PS5 but I've heard mixed things about refurbished and especially used PS5s and was wondering how anyone of yall feel about your PS5s who got them refurbished or used.

Hi everyone! As the title says, I’m completely new to PlayStation. I’ve never owned one before because I’ve always been a Nintendo kid. 😂 I got my Game Boy Classic when I was a teenager, then moved on to the Switch, and just got a Switch 2 last year. I’ve mostly played Pokémon games, but I also loved Zelda BOTW & TOTK. More recently, I played Hogwarts Legacy and Cyberpunk 2077 on my Switch 2. Cyberpunk in particular really made me want to experience some of these games on a more powerful console, which finally convinced me to try PlayStation.

So… I finally pulled the trigger and got a PS5 Slim Disc Edition from Best Buy today!

I was actually considering the PS5 Pro, but it’s out of stock everywhere I looked and, honestly, it’s quite a bit more expensive. Figured the Slim would be a great way to get into PlayStation without going overboard.
So far, I’ve only played Astro’s Playroom.
I know Spider-Man, God of War, and The Last of Us are some of the must-plays, but I honestly have no idea where to start! What games would you recommend for someone coming from Nintendo and mostly playing Pokémon, Zelda, Hogwarts Legacy, and Cyberpunk? And if you were in my position, what would be the first game you’d buy/download?

ebay "deals" are around $600 CAD, out of stock on MTC and FB Marketplaces is a bit scary for this endevour.

I was scrolling through craigslist for a PS5 and came across a listing of a PS5 pro w/ two controllers for $450 which already sounded too good to be true but I've just played around and our conversations elevated to here.

I m from India and planning to buy ps5 from Canada through my friend living in Ontario Canada. In websites like Amazon, walmart and bestbuy it shows price as 820 CAD . Is that the final price including tax or what will be the final price of the ps5 including tax. Anybody please tell me

Just snagged a new PS5 Pro for $1243 after tax. It was one of the last ones in stock and sold out instantly so I got super lucky, and I haven’t seen one in stock for weeks. I however am kinda planning to return it and buy one on Black Friday for a discount, but I’m worried about stock being impossible to find again. I’m also concerned about SSD storage and the recent SSD / Ram price hikes, which could even prevent the Blackfriday sale from even being that good in the first place. Best Buy only gives me 30 days to return it, so I have to decide now.

(I should mention I have 0 intention to even open the box until GTA6 is released)

What do you think I should do? Return it and wait for black Friday sale or keep it? Or any other options. Thank you all! :)

I'm planning to get a PlayStation 5 mainly to be ready for GTA 6 when it drops.
Right now, I'm trying to decide between two options:

1. Buying a brand-new base PS5
2. Buying a used PS5 Pro (assuming the price is similar)
3. Is it worth taking the risk on a used PS5 Pro just to get the extra performance for GTA 6, or is it safer/better to just buy a new regular PS5 with full warranty?

(I have a 42 inch lg c5 if that helps answer the question)

hello! i'm new to my ps5 so sorry if this is a stupid question, but my storage is filling up pretty quickly and i'm just wondering what to do when i'm out of storage but still have more games to play? is there a way to offload some games without deleting all my save data? i read something about the usb extended storage as well, is there a specific usb drive that's best for this and also how does it work lol.
