What website or service offers the largest free cloud storage?
I am a streamer on Twitch and I need a place to store my broadcasts due to them only being available for 7 days before being deleted. I need to find somewhere to store some of my footage for the time being. Two of my laptops and usb drives are at their limits. Its a lot of data so Im not expecting to store them all but to at least buy me some time until I figure things out is what Im going for. Thanks.

Everything on your Google account is on a shared storage and YouTube has a strict copyright policy

i saw an similar one but end to end encrypted without account, it was like Mega (have own download method) but i dont remember their name

Just media on my phone uses 44 GB, and nobody offers that much for free... :-(
Therefore, I had to go with 3 x different free-cloud services that offer AT LEAST 10 or 20 GB each.
Filen + Degoo = 20+20GB + Koofr's 10GB == 50GB total === All my 44 GBs will be backed up & phone storage will be better. ;-)
Here's what I used:
- Filen.io, get 20GB instead of 10GB. (+10GB)
- Bonus GB's for Degoo, which offers 20GB for free.
- Koofr has no invitation system anymore, they give us all 10GB without any fuzz. + must use:
- Cloud "manager", also free: MultCloud
By using (combining) 3 of them using Multcloud, you can enjoy 50GB of storage without spending a dime. 😊👍
Multcloud "merges them all," and enables sync and complex operations between multiple cloud platforms. I strongly recommend it to manage/merge them.

Hey, I stumbled across your comment and would like to set up something similar. Could you please tell me how were you able yo combine filen, degoo and koofr? In the website I didn't see them in the option to add drives.

But Multcloud's free account has a limitation of 5GB of data traffic every month. That allowance isn't sufficient for even one cloud service.

seems the old MEGA account with 50GB free is the best options. But this only available if you have an old MEGA account

Thanks for this. I recall using mega to download sims in like 2014 or something and managed to see i have 50gb of storage!

Because it was made by Baidu back when it was called Dubox, a Chinese company. They sold it to Flextech Inc. which is based in Singapore and rebranded to Terabox but it doesn't remove its former reputation. Whether you choose to trust it is up to you.

Honestly, what I'd do is move any and all text files, most images, browser backups, password files, anything that has sensitive info and back it up to something like G Drive, and THEN I'd back up all my other non-sensitive data such as game saves, downloaded songs, games, etc., onto Terrabox
By doing this, it'll save your ass

I know this is an older thread but I see comments on here from as recent as 1 month ago so I would like to add...
Playbook is an "artist focused" file sharing platform that has 100GB of FREE storage on their free tier, and you can apply with an art portfolio to even get 4TB free (although they never gave it to me).
It has a focus on freelance sharing with clients, but you don't have to use that if you want. However, they just have a limit on what file-types you can upload since they are trying to focus on creatives/artists (png, psd, mp4, etc), but for someone just wanting to back up photo and video memories, or a Twitch streamer backing up a few vods, this could work much better for those users. (Their Pro tier is $12/mo for 5TB btw). Only downsides I would say, is they organize folders strangely (as boards), their file-type limit, and they don't have a mobile app yet so it's web-only. but for 90% of people I think it's a crazy deal.

Use terabox it has free 1tb storage just encrypt them before uploading though it has lot of ads

Yes , there's also a service that will combine them. So let's say you have 10 Gmail accounts...you use the other service and link all your Gmail accounts to it from your account with them, and it will show your available storage as the total from all the Gmail accounts.
Iirc, it also stores your files across them rather than filling up one at a time... essentially it keeps them active that way so Google doesn't delete any of your accounts.

Also any tips would be appreciated before I start using it (provided you have tried it for yourself). I want to store around 1-2 TB of media files on cloud. Would that be possible through it?

For video archives why wont youtube suffice? I understand there is some compression but it's free and unlimited.

If you need it only to store files, then i really recommending multiple google drive accounts.
On new account you can get a month of free trial up to 2TB, and here is the tactic:
You upload as much as you can during free trial, when free trial ends you cannot upload any new files, or even recieve attachements in gmail, but you still can view, download, renam, move etc. your files.
Store everything in one folder and share it with second account, new account can upload to the same folder ( because even tho shared folder is on first account, every file take space on the account that uploaded it. This is called the ownership of file )
So you can have one folder with multiple terabytes of read-only data. Perfect for backups or storing movies etc.
The only downsides:
- you will need bank that allows you making new virtual cards for activating free trial on multiple accounts.
-After a 2 years iirc google will delete data from accounts that are "over storage limit" but they will remind you, so you can download stuff and reupload to new account, or just share folder as always and "transfer ownership" of files

It is a little sketchy but as far as im aware of you don't break google rules with multiple accounts, and if new free trials are against rules you can make like 100 new google accounts (15gb each) and upload to share folder. But you would need to to switch accounts every 15gb of upload or use some manager that "merges" all accounts and decide where to upload

hi my email is hunkinmarvin5@gmail.com. need large free space. using windows 11 pro, jaws 2025. have got two external drives. but need a third backup in the cloud. got a 1.8 tb external drive, and need to backup. if my external drives dies or my hard drive dies. let me know. so 40 gb for every member, so need about 10 or 20 members. marvin from australia.

pixeldrain d ont have storage limit but the files will be removed after 120 days of not been downloaded, and you have 6gb transfear limit

I am using YouTube. Just create a YouTube Creator (YouTube Studio) account for free. When you upload your videos, you can publish them (or not), and you can publish them privately so only you and whoever you invite can see these videos. YouTube Studio has its app for the phone, you can use it to see all those videos privately. There are rules about nudity, even my videos of my son's First bath were flagged because I tried to publish them as private videos. Now it exists as an unpublished file I can access anytime. Unpublished videos like that can't be shared directly, but if my son ever wants it, I can download and send it to him. I have stored all the videos I have taken from my phone there. I even converted my old 8mm tapes and 8mm film reels that my parents had from a long time ago (1950s and 1960s). Everything is now on YouTube.

I tried this but now when I download it has a little 'Youtube shorts' and my user name on the video. Anyway to remove this? I didn't see an option in settings

Terabox has 1TB of free storage. Not sure lifetime or not. But I've been using it for several years now.

possibly better off to duplicate and leave a drive at a parents of friends house. setup NASes or synced folders if the data is constantly changing. a bit of upfront cost, but ongoing fees are just internet access

Mega.io and Filen.io would be my recommendations, as both are reliable options that give you 20 GB of free cloud storage, which is the most free space you can find. If you need more, I'd suggest kDrive for 15 GB, or make a(nother) Google account for a 15 GB Google Drive.
