Going to one of the smaller - but still official - comic cons in the UK. It is my first. I have got the tickets but I wanna see how much is good. My current idea is between £80 and £100. I likely won't buy anything as the fandom I am currently hyperfixating on has much there, if anything. But I just wanna put some money aside regardless. For a first ComicCon is the range I want to spend good or would I need more?

Seeing if there’s any uk peeps here who would wanna go to a con together

My son (13yo) wants to go to his first comic con. We live in Newcastle. Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m not sure what he’s expecting as we have no experience. I think he’d like to dress up as Link and soak up the atmosphere. He’s into Doctor Who, Star Wars, manga etc.

hey everyone!! i have a bit of a stupid question, but i've been trying to find a comic con near me (i live in manchester), but i cant find any that are on after the 17th of june (after my gcses), and i was just wondering if anyone knew any comic cons after that date within an acceptable distance from me? thanks yall!!

what comic cons is worth going to in the UK i live in Worcestershire going for anime, gaming, making friends and cosplay (don't have one though 😭) stuff like that not really going to see celebs/guests so was wondering what comic one are good to go to as never been to one

also is there a place to find what comic cons are happening in the future

Hi everyone!! I have another con coming up soon (UKCGF Somerset) and I was wondering how people manage to find others from their fandom and hang out with them. I don’t know anyone in the Somerset area (it’s a 2 hour drive for me and most people I know aren’t willing/able to make that journey). I’m going as Pyro from TF2, but most people I see at cons already have a group they’re with. I’m wondering how I’d manage to find other TF2 cosplayers to hang out with throughout the con, I love having people I can sit and walk around with and talk to! I did manage to make a little group of Gravity Falls cosplayers at my first con, but Gravity Falls is a lot more common at UKCGF cons that TF2 from what I’ve seen

I was at drag con UK last year, and on the same weekend they were holding Mega Con at the Excel, and it looked incredible!! I’m a huge fan of Dr Who, Marvel & Game Of Thrones mainly, and would love to take my boyfriend to one in the UK, but wondering on what peoples opinions were of the different ones? Would be really keen to meet actors from each franchise!

Hey everyone, I’m going to my first comic con next Sunday i was just wondering if y’all had any tips, advice etc to make the most of it, what to look out for, some cool stories!!

So I purchased weekend tickets to one of the cons in the uk its one of the large ones in London but had to cancel due to personal reasons for the Saturday and Sunday and wanted to buy a ticket for the Friday and cancel my weekend ticket I emailed the con email and then they said they would do that if I brought a new ticket i then had some more things pop up (personal I don't wanna get into it) on the friday and enquired about just refunding everything to which they said they will not refund tickets due to their TOS is there anything i can do as con tickets are really expensive (I'm not looking to sell them to anyone) nor will i state the name of the con. any help would be greatly appreciated.
