Hi everyone! First time con goer here. I'll be at NYCC on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. I was wondering how much should I put to the side as spending money for whatever I see there? Also is a regular backpack good for me to use if I pick things up? Or should I buy something bigger?

Hey im from Dallas Texas and I'm going to newyork for the first time for comiccon and was wondering if I could get any tips on what I should do or shouldn't do, maybe good hotels near places I want to be at? I'm going for about a week and am going for the convention and also just to explore NYC, i wanna get a good experience you know? Like central park, night life clubbing, go to spots to get some puerto rican food, ways to save money.

I know I have to pay for the autographs separately
So I'm going to ComicCon NYC this October and I've never been. I've been to two other conventions but never met any celebrities before. I already paid for a photo op with Matthew Lillard but I believe I have to pay when I get there for autographs. I am just wondering how the etiquette is with that? Cause I'd love for him to sign my arm and I can have it tattooed but am I allowed to ask for that? Also I always see people filming their interactions but I heard they dont allow that at comic con which is a bummer if true. So please if anyone can tell me about meeting an actor and what to expect, any advice is appreciated. I just wanna make the most of the day.

This is my first year ever attending a convention like this so I have a question about autographs! If I buy individual autographs from the cast of the Jurassic park movie, would they all sign my one book if I brought it? Also would I need to buy the premium tier for this or would a book be fine to get autographed under the regular purchase? The only thing I see under the premium tier is for toys. Thank you!

Hey guys, this is my first Con I’ll be attending in October, and just wanted to ask if tickets will still be available by next Friday? How fast do these events usually sell out?

Hey all,
I really want to go to NYC Comic-Con 2026, but I’ve never been to Comic-Con before and I honestly have no idea how the ticket process works. I’d most likely only be going for 1–2 days.
I’ve heard tickets sell out super fast, so I’m trying to be prepared instead of missing out completely.
So please explain this to me like I’m dumb 😭
- When do tickets usually go on sale, and how fast do they sell out?
- Do I need to sign up for anything ahead of time (accounts, presale, etc.)?
- Are single-day tickets easier to get than multi-day passes?
- Which days are best if I can only go 1–2 days?
-Hotel/airbnb recommendations?
Also for the actual con:
- How crowded/overwhelming is it really?
- How early do you need to line up for panels or exclusives?
- What are some mistakes I should avoid?
I’ve never done anything like this before, so any advice (even obvious stuff) would really help. I don’t want to mess this up lol.

Hi! I’m trying to buy Friday tickets. Usually I have family buy them for me but I’m old enough to buy my own technically now.. why isn’t this working? I know they are on sale so I’m confused..

So I already got two tickets during the Nycc presale, but I wanted to get more so I was waiting for the general onsale. It’s here and I can’t find a link to where I can buy more tickets? I keep refreshing the page and I can’t find anything. Am I looking in the right place? Is there something I’m missing?
also this is my fourth time trying to ask for help the moderators in Nycc keep on deleting it I don’t really use Reddit but why?

I am so disappointed that I cannot come this year. I was looking to come for 4 days, debated going Friday and Saturday, ended up getting the ticket for Saturday only and now I have to travel for work. I really had a great time on Saturday last year. I think it is the best day!

I’m kicking myself for not getting Saturday tickets before they sold out. I have ADHD and I’m super bad with remembering deadlines and missed the one for fan verification. I’ve only been to Comic Con twice but as a kid so I’m new to the process. Do tickets ever come back in stock or should I just go on Friday? I’m really bummed because last year they had a Bob’s Burgers panel on Saturday and that’s my all time favorite show. I would appreciate any advice and suggestions for planning.

Hi everyone. I’m going to Comic Con in nyc in October. Was wondering whether anyone knew if it would be likely that monster high dolls would be sold there, either at the Mattel booth or 3rd party resellers. Was wondering, as I am a big collector. Many thanks!

Hey guys, traveling to the US from London this October for NYCC and LA Comic Con.
My main goal for the trip is to hunt for Silver Age keys and run filler (specifically Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and Avengers). I’m really hoping to experience some classic American longbox digging and find some good $5–$10 budget boxes, which we don't really get in the UK.
For those who went recently: how is the actual comic book dealer presence at these shows? Is it easy to find vendors selling raw, vintage books, or is the floor totally dominated by corporate media, toys, and modern variants?
Would love any advice on which rows to target or specific vendors to look for. Thanks!

Its my first years going to nycc and I bought 4 day tickets. There are a few people I'd like to try and meet. How would you buy tickets for an autograph/photo for the celebritys?

Hello all! I plan to attend NYCC with some friends this year, but I’m a little worried we won’t be able to go. I’ve signed up for the newsletter, and went to sign up for fan verification, but it says fan verification is closed. I heard fan verification will reopen sometime this spring, but when it does, will that grant me access to buying tickets for NYCC ‘26, or is that for NYCC ‘27? Please let me know, thank you! This is my very first NYCC.

Has there been any mention of any Hazbin Hotel related things happening there? I’ve only gone once (back in 2018) and I would love to go again this year and cosplay (was thinking of trying to make a CRT Vox cosplay). However, I’m not really seeing any guests I’m interested in seeing at the moment. I know the guest list updates but I also don’t want to buy a ticket if there is nothing of interest there and they are selling out quick it seems.

Hi guys, my daughter (and I) was excited to go to her/our first NYC Comic Con. She wants to go in cosplay but she's self conscious that not many people dress in cosplay. Can anyone that's been give me their best opinion of how common it is?
Also, she's 12 - she's not going as anything that would warrant creeps, but I don't want anyone just trying to grab her and take a picture. I figure that's not common, but couldn't hurt to ask.
EDIT: Thank you for all of the great responses!
