Does anyone know where I could find an MTG pod on campus?

Looking for best course of action: I enrolled as a non degree student over the summer and decided to drop the courses because I couldn't afford tuition. I was 100% positive the courses were dropped and didn't check student email again. I got a notice from the collections saying I owed tuition 2 weeks ago. They said 2 out of 3 courses dropped except 1 and now there's an F on my transcript. I had NO idea I was still enrolled. What's the best option to deal with this??

Hello all I am the person who runs the Pokemon Go events on Campus, we started this summer due to the campus lacking one entirely and we’re working on creating a consistent group (basically it’s still just me).

We have a Campfire group with a good amount of folks that you should join! It’s the best way to communicate with other players on campus! And it’s basically like Pokemon Go discord, link to your Pokemon go account and then look at the map while on campus and you’ll see our little group! (Auraria Campus Pogo) Reddit sadly won’t let me share a link.

We originally intended to host community day tomorrow but sadly with the Weather that’s likely not happening. But I host every Raid and Spotlight hour Community Day and everything else you just gotta show up! It’s a great past time if you live on Campus and if you don’t play Pokemon Go but like Pokemon you should download it because campus is a great place to play!

I was awarded the U.S. Dean's Undergraduate Continuing Merit Scholarship for Fall 2026 while I was completing my last course on August 3, 2026. I am graduating this month and am currently just waiting for my diploma.

I contacted the scholarship department, and they told me they are unable to disburse the scholarship because I am not enrolled in the Fall semester and the scholarship requires 12 credits.

Is there any way I could still receive the scholarship funds even though I am not taking any Fall courses? Alternatively, would it be possible to apply the scholarship toward reimbursement for the Summer semester?

I’m a professional with 20 years of experience under my belt. I decided to enroll in this program to further my education and enhance my career prospects. This opinion is only in reference to my experience in the MSIS program. Your miles may vary depending on the program and school.

I‘m sure the curriculum offered in this program is pretty standard. No complaints there. I will say that much of the program is theory and wouldn’t say it necessarily provides a lot of hands-on training outside of database design and maybe some light coding in Python. I hear a lot of people mention AI and cybersecurity careers as it relates to this program, but there are no classes offered that prepare you for actual jobs in those fields.

However, it is pretty clear to me that this program is an after thought for the school.

I’ve been to some networking events hosted by the school, and nearly all events are catered specifically towards MBA and Finance grads. Essentially, the companies they bring in and industry leaders they bring in are generally financial services related or management consulting related. I’ve rarely seen any IT leaders brought in to discuss career options within their companies in the IT sector.

I’ve reached out to the Business Career Center on several occasions and they have zero information or guidance to share about job prospects in this field. They do not track job placement numbers for their IS grads nor do they provide resources for finding work in this specific field. When I reached out to IS faculty, I basically received the same messaging. They don’t track job placement stats for their graduates nor do they provide specific resources for finding work.

This is very bizarre for any graduate program, let alone a business program. Schools these days are hyper focused on job placement statistics as incoming students become more critical of job opportunities and ROI related to their education.

I think CU Denver is a great urban campus school with many great offerings. But personally, I’d probably veer away from the Information Systems program as the school doesn’t really seem all that involved with it.

Maybe this is a silly question, but I really just want to sit on the roof of a building on campus, yknow, enjoy the view, and vibes! The Tivoli seems promising since it has so many floors, but I don’t know if you can or how. If not is there another building you can go to the roof of?

Has anyone looked at their financial aid emails? I got mine yesterday saying the disbursement is now happening October 7th, vs August 8th? Even though i am enrolled as a full time and my class starts August 17th?

Hello everyone! I’ve mentioned a few times the lack of collaboration on everything, so I’ve decided to take up the role as community ambassador and create the campfire group, which is now available on the campfire map next to the Library!
