Deciphered! Help finding cause of death?

Post image

This is my 3rd-great-grandfather's death certificate. I can read the dates, duration "several years," and other conditions "inguinal hernia." Cant decipher the rest. He died in a public park, if that somehow helps with context. This is my first time posting here so thanks in advance!

I think I can get the gist that an aunt and uncle gave their niece/nephew this book for Christmas but some words I’m not quite sure what they say.

Hello all! I can read most of this. Could someone decipher cause of death?

The words start with an I and R but that's all I can make out.

Thanks! 👍🏻

I can get some words, but not all. Anyone feel like going the distance?

Edit: Done! Thanks so much! This was a letter my grandmother wrote to my great grandmother while on vacation with my grandfather in the 1940s. My grandfather had restless leg syndrome, so the twin beds makes sense 😆

Family photographs from 1904. They were taken in Portland, Maine. At first I thought the first word was “Capt” but now I think it’s “Cape” but idk. I know the image quality isn’t great, but any ideas? Thanks!

Hello, I found this hidden behind the dust jacket of a secondhand book I got a while back. The second line looks like "Lucille Hish" to me but I'm not sure about the first. I'd be really grateful for any help!

Help reading first name on document

Post image

The first line - last name 'Shanahan, but I can't make out their first name. It's a male.

The second line - last name is 'Jordan' but I can't make out their first name. It's a male.

Any ideas? TY

Update

Thanks to everyone who answered. It's an Irish record from the mid-late 1800s

I'd say it says 'Denis' Shanahan as some of you have mentioned.

100% sure it's James (Jas) Jordan as I found another record which had the name 'James'

1930s Book Inscription

Long story short, I came across this book while thrifting. It was published with no author. However, it is inscribed inside the cover page by the later revealed author and composer Ernest Schelling.

I can make out “with the warm regard of the Culprit” but I’d like to be to make out the name in which he inscribed this to/for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would appreciate some help reading this, I can make out 'malignant' but nothing else.

edit: so sorry for the bad crop, the numbers in the RH column indicate how long she had cachexia and the carcinoma (two months and eight months.) thank you for the help!!

What is this name? The rest of the letter is in Cantonese.

Edit: Thank you so much to everyone who replied. It's from a heartfelt letter sent to a previous tenant from what I can tell. I'll run these names by the landlord and see if they ring a bell. Thanks again.
