hi! i'm a high school senior applying EA to cwru this fall. it;s one of my top schools and i'm planning to apply as a medical anthropology major. the trends from what i've noticed is that most premeds are public health, bio, biochem, or bme majors. I'm wondering if medical anthropology puts me at a disadvantage in the premed grind (since it doesn't cover most premed reqs).

questions
1. is being a humanities major a disadvanatge in the med school cycle?
2. how easy is it to change majors at cwru? (i want to stay anthro but my parents, if i get in, would rather i be a bio/chem major)
3. how is medical anthro at cwru overall?

I'm a junior biochemistry student and want to take PATH/BIOL 316 (Immunology), as one of my technical electives since I work in an immunology lab.

I haven't heard anyone say anything about it and was wondering if anybody had taken the class and had any insights on the class/professor, advice, study strategies? I know Immunology is difficult and I'll likely need to take 1- 2 other biochemistry classes next year as well, so just wanted to know more about the class.

For PhD students: Does anyone know if you graduate in August, whether CWRU lets you walk in the May commencement ceremony before your graduation date?

Freshman enrolled in Chem 105 (Meyer), Chem 113 (Kramer), Math 125 (Contenza), PSCL 101, AIQS 130. Advisor strongly recommended against Chem 113 in the Fall as an incoming freshman, to get adjusted to college first (she claims all the advisors advise the same thing). I'm a little nervous because I took all AP Physics and AP Bio in high school but only had general chemistry in 10th grade.

Can sophomores or juniors chime in on if chem lab will be too much for Fall? How hard/time consuming is it with Kramer? I really want to maintain a high GPA.
