Reading between the lines here and I’m not happy about it because I genuinely enjoy TV Karen and her relationship with Matt Murdock but - isn’t it quite likely that she’s gonna meet the same fate as her comic book persona?
For starters, her character’s been dead for 30 years now so that piece of canon is always gonna hurt her chances of survival.
Secondly and most importantly, the original plan for the Born Again series was (marking it as a spoiler for those who don’t like reading showrunner interviews) that both Foggy and Karen would die offscreen between series. Now that plan was scrapped and only Foggy got the fridge treatment - for now - but that being the original plan doesn’t exactly bode well for Karen either.
There’s also other little cues from a storytelling perspective, IMO.
First; them having a fully actualized loving relationship rather than just a sweet summer memory 10 years prior feels like an intentional choice to make Matt hurt like hell when / if she dies (and to make it clear to the audience why he’ll be hurting so much in the next phase of his arc).
And secondly, the way she told Matt (when he prevented her from killing Dex) that his no kill rule lets the bad guys walk while good people die sounded a whole lot like foreshadowing. Would not be surprised at all if (just like in the comics) it’s Bullseye who kills her, which would make Matt in some ways indirectly responsible for her death.
It’d be extremely bleak and cruel but I can’t help but feel like this truly devastating narrative is being set up for poor DD.
Thoughts?

I barely care that Fisk is the villain because he is a well-written character, but half of the time I do hate him. There are times where his story is more profound and detailed than Daredevil's. Not hating on either, obviously, but Fisk has this character who gets traumatized at a young age, having to do what was necessary to take care of who he loves.
He does want better for New York but uses really unethical methods, but there are characters like this that get praised for taking the hard decisions or doing what's best for his people no matter what, but not Fisk. We see the story from Daredevil's perspective, this doesn't make Fisk into a good person, but it shows how both characters want to improve something in different ways.
Vanessa being everything for him (Besides New York), and I hated when she died. I loved their relationship, and while the show goes on, the meaning of the painting changes constantly, getting bloodier, cut, stolen, etc.

One of the strongest & most badass super hero/heroine designs imo.
The costume, the white eyes, her hair, the baggy pants & scarf, the lipstick, the Twin Sai weapons & martial arts aesthetic all look amazing together. I also think that the wrinkles near her eyes is a super underrated design for female masks that makes her look intimidating.
Image 5 was done by the artist Israel Silva.

Imagine the final scene of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.
The Defenders, Punisher, Daredevil, etc. have finally wrapped everything up. They’re just sitting around at night, talking after everything they’ve been through.
Then suddenly, a massive rift opens in the sky.
Buildings start collapsing, the apocalypse breaks out, and Battleworld begins forming. The daredevil theme starts playing in the background as our heroes rush to help innocent people trapped under the rubble.
Then Luke Cage looks up and goes:
“What the hell is happening?”
Cut to black.
White text appears:
THE DEFENDERS WILL RETURN IN AVENGERS: SECRET WARS
OH MY LORD

Through the second half of original series’ season 2, the defenders and most of season 3 we see Matt’s life unravelling. His personal relationship breaks, his faith shattered, all he knew for sure was gone. Yet he found his way up and I admire him so much for this. Right now I am in a similar situation my world is literally breaking apart and I need his strength I want to know how does he do it ? Moving forward each day with everything going sideways for you

I’m on episode 3 of the defenders ( so no spoilers please) and just found out how electra came back, what I’m wondering is why didn’t Matt and stick cremate her after finding out the hand can bring back people from the dead and that they would do anything for a complete black sky

Hey everyone! I've just read the first 40 or so issues of Lee and Colan's Silver Age run, and I've gotta say, besides Colan's artwork the whole thing sucked (bar a few issues).
I'm normally a pretty rigid completionist, but just wondering if there's anything worth reading before Frank Miller's run, or do you think I should just cut straight to that.
I'd prefer answers of any particular runs and storylines before Miller, not just one off issues if that's okay. Cheers!

I’m sure Nobu mentioned something about the Hand losing Elektra a long time ago, was this literal? The flashbacks throughout the season only show Elektra training with Stick at a young age

I’m sure everyone’s said it by now but it really is a masterpiece. Season 2 was fine, at least on the first half but season 3 completely superseded that. The writers and directors said we’re gonna lock in and they gave us nadeem and dex, two very well written, complex characters. I was hooked the entire time but from ep 6 till the finale i couldn’t stop watching. The church attack, the wedding, the bulletin massacre, absolute cinema ✋🤯🤚

Daredevil and Punisher and catholicism. Punisher was a forming priest in training, and there a lot of punisher stories revoling around religion and it's shocking how neither series has made this connection

it’s obviously just his red suit painted black with the black paint starting to scuff, but it also looks almost like red tiger stripe camo. it gives some tasteful complexity over a strictly one color suit that doesn’t feel overly designed or gaudy. 10/10 for me
