You’re operating under the assumption that Q, Coop and Riq will be 100% healthy for the duration of the entire regular season.

Our depth behind them is dogshit, ā€œserviceableā€ is an overstatement, jury is out on Carter or a 32 y/o Jonathan Jones, we know what we don’t have in Kelee Ringo and Jakorian Bennett.

We’ve been relatively lucky that Coop and Q haven’t missed extended time, but if you lose even one of them for sometime, you don’t feel confident in the steep dropoff in talent in our secondary.

That’s just kind of the nfl, though. CB is probably the 3rd worst position to lose behind QB and OT. Teams that lose their starting CB’s get their asses eaten.

Not saying we should do nothing, but there’s only so much you can do in the event of an injury bug. Injury luck is one of the main ingredients to a successful NFL season

We have 3 CBs that are likely top 20 in the league. And if one of them goes down, we are basically back to what our starting CBs were last year.

We are easily in one of the best CB situations, depth wise, in the NFl.

The Eagles were still a very good defense last year, just not elite.

See this is the Eagles delusion I’m talking about lmao. That’s true for pretty much EVERY team in the NFL.

Texans are widely considered the most stacked defense in the NFL. Here are their backup CBs: Alijah Huzzie, Tremon Smith, and Jaylin Smith.

Do you know who any of those guys are without googling? Cause I fucking don’t. Mfs act like we should have All-Pros starting and then Pro Bowlers as backups.

The Lions secondary the past two seasons have been decimated with injuries yet their backups held their own, even against us last season, guys named Rock-Ya Sin and Amik Robertson locking up our WR’s.

The 9’ers were damn near without most of their starters on offense and key defensive guys on defense for much of the last year, still got through us.

The better coached teams tend to be able to makeup for when key guys go down. We’re talented on paper, but when one cog in the machine goes down, it’s almost like we’re unable to coach through it, I don’t recall the exact metric but our win-loss record with and without Lane is pretty night and day.

Their backups doing well vs our dogshit pass offense doesn’t mean anything. They were 20th in the league in pass defense last year lmao. 49ers were like 25th.

Most teams shredded them. We just sucked.

Sorry. If a team is decimated by injuries to the secondary and 30% of the league is playing worse psss defense than they are, I’d say they have some pretty good depth at db. 11th in ints as well. When said secondary locks down Devonta smith and AJB both under 50 yards and no scores… well that’s something to be proud of. Eagles fans are proud when their all pro cb shuts down guys, it’s only fair that other fans be proud when their dbs shut down our recievers.

The eagles offense looked like shit is cuz teams were shutting them down early and often. Don’t take that away from defenses. Opposing teams don’t care if your OC is ass, they still show up to do a job.

It sounds to me like you just like other teams. Stop glazing their backups. Our backups were literally our starters last year lol. We’re fine there.

Now Safety… that’s an issue

You can appreciate the team without having blind homer goggles on all the time, if you only pay attention to your own team and disregard others then your opinion isn’t going to hold much weight.

I absolutely get what you’re saying. We all know about other players.

But nobody besides you is talking about our strongest and deepest unit and saying other teams are better situated lol.

Sorry my guy, but even if one of our 3 goes down, we’re literally back to what our starters were last year. And midway through the season we were fine there.

Safety is the issue.
