Long story short the ring my fiancé originally proposed to me with was causing some skin reactions so I had to get a new ring so my fiancé and I decided to go the custom route. (First photo is my first engagement ring)

After months of designing and trying on different ring styles we finally have the one! We just picked these three rings up and we love them! (Second and third photos are the CAD designs before we approved). I wanted a radiant diamond east west with bezel setting, tulip basket, split shank and cathedral and got exactly that! For my wedding band I wanted a channel baguette ring to match the design of my engagement ring. And my fiancé he got a rectangle signet ring with a small diamond in the corner. Our next steps are to repurposed the stone from my previous engagement ring onto my fiancés wedding band! The small diamond that’s on there is there for now he will trial out his ring and see if he wants to make the change or not ☺️❤️

I’ve bent my Tacori 18K ring 2x now (just got engaged in Dec) randomly. Once while carrying a laundry basket and banged it on the corner of the wall. I got it repaired.
And Just now it got caught on the door jam while pulling a broom out of a closet. I don’t workout with it or do housework…these were all random moments before or after work. Since it’s Tacori, I don’t know my options. The band gets thinner as it gets close to setting which is where it bends. I got it at a local well known jeweler so I will be contacting them. I’m so so sad because I love my ring

This was a piece we delivered to our client this past week. It revolved around a 1.42ct Canera Ideal Hearts, super ideal round natural diamond set in claw prongs. The center is set in our Trueste Solitaire with features a nice tapering cathedral band. The client was super stoked and so were we.

I keep reading people saying that small stones in an engagement/wedding ring will be problematic. They usually say they are prone to falling out, and say to expect that you will lose some of these small stones at some point. Usually it's in the context of pave bands, but I don't know if it's always true - maybe there's a way to do it safely?

Is this true for all small stones in a ring? Or does it depend on where the stones are located and the thickness of prongs, etc.?

What about rings like those in the images above? Would they be ok, or do they have issues as well? Can you give me some basic info on this so that I can try and understand, please? Thanks very much!

I’m looking for some advice on choosing an engagement ring design.

I have a 1ct diamond, and will be setting it in platinum. I’d like a relatively low set ring for practicality, and I’m drawn to cathedral settings. I’d prefer my wedding band to sit as flush as possible with the engagement ring.

I’ve narrowed it down to two designs that I can amend with my jeweller, and I’m looking for any thoughts or opinions on these given my preferences.

Does anyone have any experience with choosing something similar to these designs? Feel free to post pics too!

Goal is to have as low as possible of a setting but to also accommodate a flush fit w/ a band… does this design look secure/sturdy enough? Is it too metal heavy? And can this setting go any lower (I.e., remove connecting bridge)? would greatly appreciate any insights. TIA!

Hi all! I’m super excited to share some custom made engagement rings that I just got back from production :) I’d love your feedback! I’ve included 2 photos of each, head on and side profile. Note that all the rings are hand made to suite the measurements and shape of the diamonds!

First ring (imgs 1 & 2): 3 stone bezel set setting with invisible set accent stones featuring an elongated old mine cut center stone and brilliant cut trapezoid accents, all 18k yellow gold.

Second ring (imgs 3 & 4): a fun take on a classic 3 stone signet style but with a 2 tone element (a small bezel detail in white gold with the rest of the ring in yellow gold) with a radiant cut center stone. All 14k white and yellow gold.

Third ring (imgs 5 & 6): classic oval cut diamond (note the minimal bowtie 🤤) solitaire on a thin band but with a larger hidden halo purposefully to hide the profile of the diamond. We wanted the hidden halo to mostly be all you see around the top of the diamond from the side view! All 14k yellow gold.

Hi everyone! I’m currently in the process of designing my ring and just received the CAD. I would love to get your expert eyes on it before I approve the design. I've attached the CAD file for reference.

Here are the details:

• Ring Size: US 4.5
• Metal: 14K Yellow Gold
• Center Stone: Oval, 9.75 x 6.6mm
• Design: Side stone clusters with a tulip setting detail in the gallery.

My inspiration is a combination between Cullen's Bella (pic 2) and Frank Darling's Cathedral Royale (pic 3). I have a couple of specific concerns I’m hoping you can help with:

1. Band Width (Currently 1.8mm): Since the center stone is fairly large, should I bump the pre-polish width up to 2mm to ensure it’s durable enough for daily wear and doesn't spin too much? Will it be disproportionate to the smaller stones?
2. Setting Height (Currently 5.5mm): I don't personally have any preferences, but is 5.5mm too low? I know a flush straight wedding band might not be possible with this basket shape anyway, but I want to make sure the stone has enough clearance.

Are there any other structural issues or red flags you see? Thank you so much in advance for your help!

I need help with my emerald engagement ring. I purchased a loose diamond with specs of 2.52 ct, 9.36 x 6.53 x 4.29 mm (1.43 ratio). This will go on a size 7 ring finger. After receiving the diamond I’m concerned with the size. I don’t want to go too big, as I’d like to keep an elegant look. I found another emerald that’s 3.3 ct, 10.22 x 7.07 x 4.70 mm (1.45 ratio). Both diamonds have same specs, only difference is size. Would the 3.3 ct diamond look “oversized”? This will be in a solitaire setting with gold band and platinum claw prongs/basket. Still haven’t decided if I’ll go with the four prong setting or basket setting with guard rails. I know I’m probably just overthinking. Thanks for any help or feedback. I wanted petal prongs instead of the standard basket so the CAD reflects that request but it looks very basic to me? I’d like the extra little details like IMG 5 & don’t mind that 6 prongs will make my oval stone look more like a marquise. do y’all think that’s doable or advisable? would I be trying to do too much & making the ring sit too high that it becomes a problem?

I’m also wondering if I can/should go a bit thinner than 2.6mm?

overall I love the design & don’t see any issues but is there anything to take note of in y’all’s professional opinions??

Hi! We’re working with a local jeweler to make our engagement ring and got this sapphire and diamond to make a toi et moi. We’re long distance and we wanted to get a design down before the end of my most recent visit, so I only had a small time frame to think about what I like and what options there were. Now anxiety is getting the best of me and making me second guess our choices so I want an unbiased opinion.

What we’ve decided on so far is to have the two stones centered vertically with the marquise leaning slightly into the sapphire (like in the picture) with a 2mm gold band and claw prongs.

I’d describe my style as more minimal and a little bit on the gender neutral side. I knew I didn’t want a pear or a round and I loved the two together when we first saw them. Now I’m wondering if we made a mistake with the ratios of the gems and if there was a better placement/positioning that we could go for.

I also considered having the sapphire in a bezel setting and marquise in prongs, but I’m not sure if that’d end up looking way too busy.

I’m designing a ring to celebrate 25 years and would love advice. I wanted a 3 carat baguette to be the center of a five-stone art deco style ring and all they had was a 4.28 carat baguette (E, VVS 2, Excellent cut). I could’ve had a custom 3 carat cut but once I saw this one, I fell in love.

The third is the diamond I’ve selected
The fourth is the inspiration I’m considering for this center stone—I like the scale of the side stones but as if they were single long baguettes instead of two or three in each column.
I’ll see if I can add the tweezer video in the comments.

The band is 3mm and I wear a size 5.75.

The CAD design is great but I think this is going to feel huge and am wondering if I should ask for slimmer side baguettes, maybe 1.5 mm wide.

I also think the bezels on the stones look a bit thick, but I don’t know if making them a bit thinner would compromise the security of the stones.

Is there anything else I should be taking into consideration?

It's a floral style cocktail ring. I like the underside but I don't love it. Any suggestions other than keeping the area plain/open?

I’m considering the ring design shown in the attached photo.

My center stone would be a 1.8–2.0 ct round brilliant, I color, VS1 or VS2, GIA Triple Excellent. The setting uses F-color side stones/melee.
Because this design has quite a few diamonds surrounding and flanking the center stone, I’m wondering whether the F-color stones will create too much contrast and make the I-color center look noticeably warmer or more yellow.

For anyone who has seen a similar combination in person:
- Would the F vs. I color difference be obvious in this specific design?
- Could the whiter side stones make the center look more yellow than it would in a simpler setting?
- Would the side stones ever visually compete with or outshine a 1.8–2.0 ct center?
- Would you recommend G/H side stones instead, or would F still look harmonious?

I attached the setting design for reference because I think the amount and placement of the side stones probably matters quite a bit here.

I really love what I picked but I’m wondering if it’ll be structurally sound. I know cathedral is best for this but i absolutely hate how they look and have yet to find a setting I like so I went with this from rare caret. I thought about it for a while and love it but I do work with my hands and am not a very delicate person. I would be very careful but this is just how I am 🥴
I kept getting ads for Frank darling and found a beautiful setting but their lab grown diamonds are extremely overpriced

I’m 26, from the UK (London), and I’ve been with my girlfriend for almost two years. I’ll be completely honest, I haven’t been the best with my finances this year, so I don’t currently have £5k sitting there ready to spend on a ring.
But from next year I want to properly start saving towards proposing to her.
This girl has proved to me time and time again just how happy she makes me, and I genuinely want to spend my life with her. I know the price of a ring obviously isn’t what proves how much you love someone, but I want to get her something really beautiful that she can have for the rest of her life and that reflects how much she means to me.
I’m thinking of a budget of around £5000, but I know absolutely NOTHING about engagement rings. 😂
Literally the only useful information I have is that she likes oval engagement rings. That’s about as far as my ring knowledge goes.
So I could really use some help:
• Is £5k a good budget for a really nice oval engagement ring?
• Would you recommend saving the full amount or financing it?I’m not in a massive rush, so I could spend next year saving towards it.
