How often are the yoga classes at the rec??

Heyy everyone! I just transferred to FAU this semester for Hospitality & Tourism Management after finishing my AA at Miami Dade College.

I’m 23F, so while I’m always down for a good time, I’m definitely past the 18-year-old freshman vibe. Looking to connect with people who are down-to-earth and looking for genuine friendships!

A quick bit about me/what I’m usually up to:

Campus & Coffee: Always down to grab coffee, study around campus, or hang out between classes. (I have lots of time between classes on campus and it gets boring sitting alone lol)
Fitness & Outdoors: Big into Pilates and yoga classes, or hanging out by the beach.
Music & Events: Big into EDM, festivals, and live music.
Life Setup: I live off-campus with my boyfriend and our dog, so I commute in for classes, but I want to make the most of my time on campus and build a solid circle here.

Hey guys when are refunds going to hit?

First year and looking to find groups or areas to find people with a focused mindset. Seems like everyone I have meet are all about the party. Just wondering where to find fellow student/groups of peers that want to focus on their studies but enjoy outdoor activities as well and not just the party. Thanks in advance.

I am a commuter student so I am not actively involved on campus yet. Is the tailgating crowd friendly and inviting? I’d love to take part but I haven’t really met anyone yet.

Just wondering if it’s worth applying right now. I’ve lived in Florida for 2 years now, do online school with a Unweighted GPA of 3.71 and a Weighted GPA of 4. I have a SAT score of 1120 though I only took it once and I’ll be retaking it again October, November, December. Pretty confident I can improve the English section tbh. But just wondering if it’s worth the risk? I’m aware I can get deferred but.. idk. Help

I wanted to have some insight of my chances getting in FAU with with an AA from pbsc. 3.2 gpa and i want to go for economics. The problem is that i was stupid and didn’t realize that if you fail a core class twice, you can’t go for business(the class was statistics and i was just not programming my class right with work). I’m thinking its hopeless of me getting to study economics 😔

Hello guys, I transferred to a 4 year university after finishing my AA degree at Miami Dade College this summer but I want to go back to community college and do another major. Im currently doing a BFA in Graphic Design. The reason why I want to change paths and risk having to keep going to college for 3 more years is because of how competitive my degree is and how it is getting affected by generative AI. I want something white collar because I’ve always felt more comfortable working in an office. After graduating in 2024 and seeing how well UX/UI designers were doing I decided go into this major with this in mind because of not having to learn coding like other majors. I do have all my general education classes done. Except I do believe I would have to take new math classes if I were to change my major because the maths I had to take were for liberal art majors. But also I don’t know which major I want to go for. I like money of course but I’m bad at math, well I have also haven’t taken the time to learn as I should and don’t have a good ACT or SAT scores. I would be willing to study to retake this tests and to get better at math. And still don’t know what would happen to my FasFa if I transferred this spring. Any tips?

Hello everyone. This is my first semester at FAU. I have a question about the gym/fitness and recreation center, how busy does it usually get between 10 AM and 2 PM? My in person classes start later in the day so that’s the time i’d prefer to go

FAU still have more work to do at all fronts, hire top teachers, raise enrollments requirements, build out more science and engineering labs, get more funds for researches, it is a challenge but a noble target to reach!

Hi everyone, it's my first year at FAU, although I am a junior standing. I am not studying anything to do with media or journalism, but I have really gotten into photography recently. I'm a big lover of all things sports and I know FAU is passionate about theirs. I would really like to find an opportunity to intern or land a job photographing their sports (can do video too). I just don't know who to go to or where to start networking my way up about this. If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

Would it be possible to switch to a non-selective major with 60+ credits, unlike nursing?

My schedule has me only on the Davie campus this semester. is there even any events or club meetings there? I was under the impression that the Boca campus is where everything happens. is my social life cooked till spring?
