Everytime I go to 8th street i see this Mongolian station but no workers and no food, is it only open during lunch? (I typically go for breakfast and dinner), ive never seen food over there

I graduated at MDC with AA in Mechanical Engineering. However I didn't take physics and physics lab since I had 60+ credits (a lot were transferred from high school). I could take physics at MDC or FIU, what would be more difficult for me?

It's important I learn physics well for my major, so I'm wondering if I should take it at FIU for better understanding. Taking the class at MDC would be cheaper though.

Hey folks, pretty much what it says on the tin. I applied for my PhD in Earth Systems Science before the August 1st deadline, and it’s been deferred to the dept for a decision. I submitted my transcript and other documents already so now I’m just waiting, but when could I potentially expect a decision so that I can arrange my work schedule for next semester (I would be under the allowed to work provision)? i still have not received my financial aid. each time i reach out to OneStop they have little to no answers for me. i’ve been waiting since June. i have books i need to purchase and I’m unable to do so which results in me not turning in a few assignments on time… this is incredibly frustrating.

Hi everyone, I’ve been updating my financial aid issues regularly here. I just got my financial aid offer. I only received my Pell grant (I usually receive more), but it could be because I’m on my last semester. Anyway, I’m one of those people that received the payment extension email, and I received my offer today at 11 am (Miami time).

Hi I have a question. I know add/drop ended on Thursday but I’ve been looking for a seat to open all week for an AMH class in person that I need in order to graduate in the Spring. I’m currently in an upper division class that I don’t want to take or need and I’m wondering if I can fill out a form to swap that class with an AMH class that has 1 seat left.

I don’t want to be financially responsible as I am on athletics scholarship and I also don’t want a DR on my transcripts. I just changed my major this same week and met with an advisor on Wednesday so I only had 2 days to change my schedule. Is this possible and who should I contact? Thank you in advance.

Im an out of state student that will likely qualify for national merit finalist. Fiu offers a full tuition scholarship with housing. Is this limited to fall-spring semesters or will tuition and housing also be covered during the summer, assuming you are taking enough classes?

My grants and scholarship are on my account, but for some reason they keep changing my estimate. Am I the only one who’s having their cost of attendance and remaining costs fluctuate? My cost of attendance went from being 20k in the beginning then to about 5-8k earlier this month and now it has shot up to 29k.

spoke to financial aid on the phone like 20 mins ago and explained my aid isn’t even pending and she assured me i would receive aid but they still haven’t gotten to many students and i’d have to wait BUT i asked oh i didn’t receive the email stating they changed the deadline and she let me know it was only for a select few that had errors in their financial aid and that if i didn’t receive one my date is still September 2nd and i asked what do i do if i can’t pay it, and she said i have to figure it out. lmao amazing !!!

So I only have 1 class on campus and it’s at 12:30. Is there anywhere to park on campus that won’t have me circling b for 45minutes? I knew the parking on campus was bad but not THIS bad. I don’t care if I have to walk 10 miles is there ANYWHERE I can park no matter how close or how far that I can park reliably?

I had class today and my teacher said they git rid of the global learning graduation requirement this semester.. did they make an announcement about this? Now I have 2 classes I don’t need if true 😵‍💫

i signed up for fall recruitment and wanted to see if anyone on here is part of the panhellenic council/was or is also rushing. if ur also rushing hmu so we can be friends 🤗🤗. but i was curious on what to expect from recruitment? i’m scared of it not going well because i really would love to find a place of belonging. of course partying is great and all but im also very interested in the sisterhood, philanthropy, and overall connection that comes with being in a sorority. i feel like a friendly and bubbly person but i can also be shy before i get comfortable so im a little nervous.

Hey everyone, I just have a quick question: how long does Canvas take to add new classes to my dashboard? I dropped one class and replaced it with another and just wanted to know how long it takes for it to show up on my dashboard.

I know a LOT of people are having the exact same issues regarding financial aid but did any of you get a similar response from them? I was told to go on a payment plan so my classes aren’t dropped and I’m ngl I’m not doing that shit.
