u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

Isn't it one of those shovelware games that spent all its budget on marketing? That's the power of spamming ads for you.

the power of spamming ads

Raid Shadow Legends sends its regards

32

u/OceanusxAnubis Mar 01 '26

Atleast raid shadow legends isn't AI and has actually cool looking designs.

3

u/A12qwas World's biggest Heaven Burns Red glazer Mar 01 '26

nope, that game is still slop

-6

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26

no even close to Dragon Traveler.

1

u/MyLovelyForm Mar 07 '26

I wouldn't be surprised if they spent their profit on marketing as well.

-6

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 01 '26

God forbid a game pays for marketing 💀

Edit: keep coping guys! your games cant do as better even with aggressive marketing lmao.

1

u/LunaProc Mar 04 '26

how bro will be looking when the game plummets a few months later once the honeymoon phase is over

1

u/hobozombie May 05 '26

Four months in. Still going strong!

u/Tibreaven Mar 01 '26

Guess it's evidence that you can release a game with no story and mostly AI content, and it'll profit just fine.

This is not the lesson game developers should be learning.

-9

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26

Nu bruh the game is a hella more fun than half the roster. Gameplay wise is better than NIKKE itself.

-40

u/MrWhiteChristmas- Mar 01 '26

You’re about to get downvoted like crazy. People hate to hear AI is anything but “slop”🤣

25

u/AWorthlessDegenerate Mar 01 '26

Just because it makes a lot of money doesn't make it any less slop. Lazy trolling.

4

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26

All your favorite gachas use AI in some form in their production chain, you are just coping because you hate your gacha is doing worse.

-17

u/MrWhiteChristmas- Mar 01 '26

Your job being taken in the next 20 years by AI huh? That suckssss

32

u/FeyrisTan Mar 01 '26

Eastern style Raid shadow legends

1

u/Vyragami I quit gacha why am I here Mar 01 '26

It worked apparently cuz anime gacha player have such low standards.

0

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26

DT is not an anime gacha lmao.

Raid Shadow legend sucks at every level.

This game is actually fun and even very f2p friendly with all the f2p income:

u/FeyrisTan Mar 02 '26

Are you like an intern getting paid for this? Because it would be kinda sad if you're doing promo for a game that couldn't bother hiring designers on your own time.

2

u/Syl3nReal Mar 02 '26

No Im a robot. Beep Boop!

61

u/Playful_Weekend4204 Mar 01 '26

AIslop gacha is the future

8

u/SecondAegis Mar 01 '26

Is this an actual WuWa sticker?

-5

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26

nah, good gameplay wise games are the future. Dragon traveler is a lot of fun, much more than half the top 20 roster.

3

u/Karama1 Mar 02 '26

The game has systems in it that other games take years to implement or just never do and it has its shit together with gameplay and event loops. Even though its AI alot of people value a good game that knows what its doing rather than a pretty looking game that doesnt

6

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26

I had more fun in this game than half of those top 20.

15

u/Adom20 Mar 01 '26

Wow, it's almost like the quality of a game doesnt have anything to do with it's revenue.

-7

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26

It has way more quality than half the roster. I haven’t had this much fun in years. Much better in content than NIKKE itself.

16

u/TheGreatMagallan ULTRA RARE Mar 01 '26

sad thing is, low iq ppl spend on this slop. a lot of money infact

-1

u/Putrid_Double_779 Mar 01 '26

Says the gacha gamer.

7

u/zawalimbooo Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 01 '26

spending money on normal gacha games is still better than spending money on AI slop

its the difference between dropping $1000 on one meal (dumb as hell idea, but at least its a good meal) vs dropping $1000 down the toilet.

disclaimer: I don't spend in gachas.

-9

u/Putrid_Double_779 Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 01 '26

Not really, in my eyes there is no difference from the "ai slop gacha game" to the "slop gacha game", it's all slop at the end of the day.

The gacha aspect of gacha games is the one I most dislike, at least for me a thousand dollar meal would taste good, I never really felt any satisfaction from gacha.

-5

u/Putrid_Double_779 Mar 01 '26

Anyways, most gacha have the same quality comparable to "ai slop", just because its human made, its not really better.

-2

u/Putrid_Double_779 Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 01 '26

I have no idea what the quality of this game is tbh.

Edit: Its an idle game, even if it had no ai I would never play this. Most people don't seem to really care about the ai stuff and it seems successful enough, so most people would rather "throw $1000 down the toilet" than have a "$1000 meal" after all.

-1

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26

Nah bruh, you are coping too hard, tell your mom to make you some tea and go to bed is past 8pm, also stop using her credit card.

9

u/zawalimbooo Mar 01 '26

I don't spend any money on gacha lol. I'm just saying that doing so is better than spending on some AI slop

1

u/Syl3nReal Mar 01 '26

wasting money in ANY gacha is equally as bad. There is literally not comparison to be made.

3

u/TheGreatMagallan ULTRA RARE Mar 01 '26

A lot speaks for your interlligence if you cant destinguish between good and bad games lmao

0

u/Putrid_Double_779 Mar 01 '26

Lol, lmao even.

0

u/Putrid_Double_779 Mar 01 '26

Never said the game was good.

2

u/xangbar Everything Hoyo (Except Tears of Themis) Mar 01 '26

I tried it for like 5 days, got the unit I wanted, then haven’t played since. Plot is so so and it’s got too much going on.

9

u/jgabrielferreira Mar 01 '26

Ngl im playing as low spender and it’s quite fun. After end game it’s just daily maintain that takes at most 20 minutes. Same as Genshin. I don’t see any reason to drop it.

Bought the lifetime pack, so passes for stuff that I already cleared like tower/chapter pack and that’s it.

I can reach the chapter cap every day, been competitive, etc.

Despite the AI stuff, imo it’s a better idle game than most out there

3

u/DangerousFat Mar 01 '26

Forgive me, what in Dragon Traveler is AI? And more specifically, what are we 100% sure is AI and not just throwing the accusation at everything like usual. lol

4

u/jgabrielferreira Mar 01 '26

I think the art? Tbh, whether it’s or not, I don’t care. AI is bound to be used more and more

1

u/DangerousFat Mar 02 '26

Sure, I just see a lot of accusations and a whole lotta nothing as far as evidence is all. lol But the game is a blast for me, I'm loving it. I played Azur Lane for 3 years and then went into the hospital for a few weeks and fell off playing. Haven't played any mobile games seriously until Dragon Traveler now, and I've tried all of the others. As far as the auto-battlers go, I think it's one of the best. Now maybe for the Genshin people who need action, it's not good enough, but they want something fundamentally different than I do.

1

u/JuggernautStrict302 Mar 02 '26

"genshin people who need action"..had a great laugh at that one, jokes aside you're right..AI use aside it's a competent game underneath, you don't have to spend a dime if you don't want to, especially starting out..you get so much shit for just playing the game. Guaranteed limited character at 50 pulls for all limited banners, yes you ideally would want dupes but that's easy with how much current you're given, even later on.

1

u/DangerousFat Mar 03 '26

And look, it's a heavy cheesecakey art style game and I'm here for it. lol I don't know how much spending makes you a whale, I wouldn't consider myself one, but I think I heard someone call themselves a dolphin and I think I can identify with that one. lol

2

u/Zerkii Mar 01 '26

I agree, and prob gonna get down voted but I don't have the time for more than 1 open world game so I'm not really looking for open world slop. Also a low spender and enjoying the game a lot more than I thought I would. Core gameplay loop is fun and it respects your time for the most part. Honestly the most amount of 'content' I've seen in an idle game day 1. Glad to see it actually went up in revenue and I hope that signals for them to keep pushing content.

1

u/jgabrielferreira Mar 01 '26

I actually I wish it could’ve more play time lol. But I can deal it this finding another game to fill my gaps.

But yea, the core gameplay is nice. I’ve tried Souls, AFK Journey, MLA, many others. This one by far has been the most “idle” while still having content. And it isn’t as pay2win as it seems. At least for now.

9

u/Sufficient_Touch3586 Mar 01 '26

The game is surprisingly solid for afk clone.

Great time killer until NTE release.

2

u/Nanoman20 Mar 01 '26

It's the hot new waifu game, of course it sells. We'll see how it's doing In 6 months ig

3

u/makoto_sama Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 01 '26

Maybe it's fun? I saw a streamer playing it for an ad and thought to myself I would have tried it if I didn't have 4 other gachas I play heavily already.
