General Popularity chart of gacha games at an anime con in China as of May 2026.

Red dots=like, black dots=dislike.

Covered up games in images 3 & 7 are Snowbreak Honor of Kings & Reverse 1999, respectively.

EDIT: Image 3 is actually Honor of Kings, not Snowbreak. “SB” over HoK’s square means 傻逼(sha bi)=stupid/idiot/dumbass/asshole. Although HoK isn’t a gacha, it’s up there with a few other mobile games that are popular in China.

Part 2 thread with Arknights, Endfield, Nikki, and other games cut off in these pics here: https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/s/yvlpDV499B

Yea, didn't the devs even change a characters design post reveal just to appeal to cn fans?

They do hate it, or, at least didnt like it.

They are not much different than Global.

After all Chinese or not, at the end of the day you should make a good story, and 2.x didnt do it.

Iirc they quite liked 2.6, 2.7 story, because it doesnt feel shallow like the previous patches.

I find this hard to believe considering how popular the poster girl of 2.x is, in china

Theres more than one aspect to like about a character as long as they still like the game.

Even though they dont like her role in story, they still like the strength she gives in game, the animation quality,...

Too bad damage was done, if you don't curse correct instantly and decide you absolutely want to finish your shirt arc. That nobody enjoy, you end up loosing people in the long run. One or two bad patches people can accept but at one point it's too much and they just silently quit the game. That's how you get games with no hate anymore, people who were displeased simply left.
