Recipe Old Fashioned Garlic Bread
Traditional Garlic Bread
Crisp on the edges and light in the center. This is my favorite recipe for Garlic Bread!
•1 large Italian loaf or ciabatta bread
•6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
•3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
•6-8 garlic cloves, finely minced
•2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
•½ tsp kosher salt
•¼ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
•¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Heat oven to 400 degrees
- Slice the bread into thick pieces
- Mix the softened butter, olive oil, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
- Generously spread the garlic butter over each slice, getting it into all the holes in the bread.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan
- Place on a baking sheet and bake 10–12 minutes, until the edges are crisp and golden.
- For that restaurant-style finish, broil for 1–2 minutes until beautifully browned and bubbling.
- Finish with a little fresh parsley and a drizzle of olive oil.
Don’t skimp on the garlic butter! It’s the best part!
