Always regretted selling my reclaimed Vela so when I saw this run I had to grab one. Love the figuring of the black Limba.

A friend and I started engraving and building guitars a few years ago. I design/engrave on my laser cutter, he builds. We're up to, I think, around 30ish builds so far.
This is my Paisley strat. this was supposed to be a "beater" body for me to test doing an edge-to-edge engrave, which is not simple on my laser cutter because i can't do the entire body in one pass. But it turned out so well, I had Chris build it out for me, and this is now my main gigging electric (not that I play out at gigs much, I'm more of a singer that the band "allows" to play on a few songs).

I’ve had this PRS SE 24-08 for a bit now and it just keeps growing on me. The finish looks completely different depending on the lighting, and it’s one of those guitars that feels just as good as it looks. 🎸
I did swap the stock pickups for the Mick Thomson Fishman Fluence set, which suits it really well, but even aside from the electronics I’ve been really impressed with the guitar itself.
Definitely becoming one of my regular go-to guitars. 🤘

So I was at work making bags of cement and I snapped and quit and decided I wanted to try my hand at building frankenstrats.
This is an idea I thought up after a particularly long weed bender.
Months of being stoned.
I quit my job
Asked my buddy for a spot in the back of his muffler shop to work out of.
And I built this guitar.
It's a mix between Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eddy Van Halen.
Srv1 was down to bare wood so it got me thinking how could I add that to a frankenstrat.
So I rolled the tape on the body before paint so the bare wood stripes would show thru all the paint layers.
I built this guitar while high on weed.
Eddy Van Halen built his guitar as a druggy and alcoholic.
So to get on that level I took a bunch of edibles and smoked a lot of blunts.
This is what came out.
It's a temu 65$ partscaster kit.
With everything thrown away but pickguard and the tremelo. And the nut.
Everything else is temu parts.
Brass roller saddles.
Saphue locking tuners.
12 56 blues strings.
Intia marked humbucker from temu.
15 resistance
Stock temu neck pickup single coil.
Les Paul big body 500k pots.
Stock pickguard.
Relic the neck to look like a baseball bat that's been in storage for 100 years.
Nothing fancy here.
But it's probably the best playing guitar I've built this far haha.
I plan to make a couple more but just with single paint colors and selling them to local musicians.
400 up votes and all post a video clip of how it sounds.

Been messing around with this Squier Strat for a while and finally got it pretty much where I wanted it.
The whole build is inspired by Majin Buu from Dragon Ball Z — pink body, black pickguard, gold hardware, single humbucker, and the Majin symbol on the front. 💗⚡
Definitely one of the more ridiculous guitars in my collection 😂 but that was kind of the point.
I wanted the DBZ influence to be obvious without making it look like a full-on novelty guitar.

Used these two at the Doll Hut in Anaheim again. They did not disappoint.

Front to back:
83' (lawsuit era I think) Takamine & Co 12 string
25' Gibson Les Paul STD 50s in iced tea
(Unknown year) Silvertone strat copy, my first guitar.
24' Gretsch G5655TG in Amethyst
23' (probably) Austin jazz bass copy, white with tortoise pickguard
I've got a fender Pro Junior 4, rumble 40, boss katana 1st gen, and a Boss GX1 modeler.
