Absolutely not. You don't include in the video all of the conservative people who hate on anyone who lives there who isn't originally from there. Shit could look like Valhalla and they will look at you like you're from Wuhan and the year is 2020. City life is way better

This is generally my opinion on rural life in America. Beautiful scenery, but not worth the pain of being with the people

Meh. More like the afflux of tourists and the local mafia who owns all the tourist places.

But I know people who vanlife full time to be in those places and work for the tourists and they enjoy it a lot. Just be ready that when you're doing seasonal work sometimes it's tough.

I'm guessing that you live or have lived in a big city. Hating on people not originally from there is not exclusive to conservatives (apologies for the double negative).

True, but cities are almost universally far more left-wing and supportive of social support than rural areas.

Lived in cities and in countryside. It's just more prevalent in the countryside.

But yeah, hating is just a natural thing done by all. It's just more prevalent in countryside because they see anyone outside their typically circle as an intrusion to their order and in the city less people don't give a shit usually unless you get in their way.

I live in a rural Appalachian town and that's just not true. We have a large Hispanic population that fluctuates wildly based on seasonal farm work and I haven't heard one ill remark.

There is no one universal truth for all of course. Not all places are the same. I can just speak for what I have encountered in the Schengen area, and not always but a few times. There's also nice people of course. Ignorant idiots are not region specific, just some are more outspoken in some areas and depending how foreign those people look or act.
