grocery stores aren’t within walking distance, and you’re usually stuck with some stupid Voi with limited range.

nearest hospital is also a fair while away.

But you’re right about the tourists.

There is quite a big Coop in Lauterbrunnen. There's also at least one doctors office, that appears to do emergencies. 20 Minutes away there is a bigger care center and 45 Minutes away is the hospital of Interlaken.
