NATURE Seems we are the last generation to witness fireflies. When last do you see them?

I was thinking about these bugs few days ago and I struggle to remember when last I saw them.

I live in Tennessee and see them everywhere

I should have finished that sentence, because i live in Florida now and never see any here. But when i was living in Tennessee as a kid they where everywhere, Im so glad they still exist there.

This is making me curious if there’s a “firefly population map” out there showing where they live. They are all over my backyard and neighborhood outside of DC, but I keep hearing about people who never see them.
